South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

101 ways you've been living your immortal life unsatisfactory

For what reason were faeries hunted? Did people expect some magnificent prize from killing one? Unsurprisingly, Navi's head had these thoughts that would develop as little sparks and ignite like a firecracker. It was hard to stop once she was lost in her own head. Right now though, Andra's kept her entertained by swiftly answering all the questions she spat out at him. She listened to him recall a time where there was a peaceful coexistence between faeries and humans. What about were-creatures? What about dark hunters? Itching to ask the sudden ideas, she thought it might be best not to interrupt him mid-explanation. She had noticed a look of ease fall upon his usually emotionless face when he spoke of the more peaceful times. "Finally, no more furrowed brows," she thought amusingly to herself until she realized she spoke too soon. The mood suddenly shifted as Andras spoke about the slaughtering of faeries and how it became as common as the killing of livestock. With the shift in conversation, there was a shift in his features. His facial expressions shifted back to that dull, lifeless mask he wore. Navi couldn't help but smirk though when she noticed how quickly his emotions had changed. There were subtle similarities between the two that made her feel somewhat happy. Happiness and joy had been a foreign emotion to her for as long as she had been independent. The mere experience felt awkward to her and she immediately transitioned her brain onto another train of thoughts. Glancing up at him, she heard him utter kindly to her, "I want to show you that life does not have to be lonely if you know where to look,". A normal person would have found this phrase to be a compassionate guesture. To Navi though, as soon as he mentioned loneliness her guarded manners raised right back up. "I'm not lonely," she furiously retorted. "Just because I've been by myself doesn't mean I'm lonely. I value my space Mr. Andras as I'm sure you do in your own regard," she speculated. The truth behind the matter was that she didn't want to admit to herself or anyone that she had indeed, been lonely for centuries. Things grew silent between them as they both looked at their muddled reflections in the pond. She heard Andras break the quietude by making her aware that he wanted to show her how to live with immortality. Had he really thought she'd been living that wrongly in the sense of immortality? She could just imagine a book written with the title, "101 ways you've been living your immortal life unsatisfactory." She thought to herself that maybe Andras should publish his own life advice books. Amused within her own mind where Andras became a best-selling author, he unexpectedly reaches out his hand to her awaiting her to take it. Brushing off the silly thoughts she grasps his hand and allows him to help her to her feet. She could feel her face turn beet red again, as she had never had experienced a man be this chivalrous to her before. Her not wanting to be cowardly though, stared straight at Andras until he broke the tension by telling her that she could do whatever she wanted when she settled in to the lodge. He laughingly explained that she could even sleep the day away and he wouldn't care. In this instance she saw a faint smile emerge from the usually calm and collected face of Mr. Andras. Caught off guard, it took all her strength to not laugh aloud at the sudden change in mannerisms he exposed. It made her realize that Andras was just as sporadic with emotions as her. Hearing him ask if a spare bedroom was o.k. as a place for Navi to call her own she cunningly smirked and replied, "I suppose that is acceptable." She notices after her reply, Andras casually started walking away. Deciding to follow a few steps behind him she couldn't resist gazing at his silhouette that reflected the rays of the moon. Somehow this instance had felt so familiar to her yet so new. As they strolled down the concrete pathway, he answered what seemed to be her final question about iron with a statement that left her interrogating him with a multitude of questions. "What do you mean in tolerance? Would I be able to lessen the effect of iron the longer I live? How much iron can you handle?", she intensely inquired catching up to walk beside him. As they walked alongside one another the moonlight that illuminated them was flooded by the fluorescent shine of the street lamps that started the path to Navi's new home.
