Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Other creatures confused Navi. Especially those with more forward thinking that felt so foreign to her. Not honoring her name? Family? Absurd, was what is was, at least in the era she grew up in. It was hard for her to swallow her pride when Raven had the opposite response she had expected to her previous lecture. She thought maybe she'd finally talk some sense into the wolf but to no avail. "Hmph," Navi breathed, feeling a sense of defeat as she glanced around the forest wondering what would come next. She listened to the wolf state calmly to her that she was being kind as well but that did not mean Navi had gained her trust. "Good," Navi spat, as she kept refusing to make eye contact after the disagreement. Even though Navi lived a longer time than most, didn't mean she matured from some childish behaviors. Especially, when she was disagreed with. Getting defensive, she crossed her arms and squinted her eyes, keeping silent until a wag of Raven's tail gave the cue to follow her.
Tailing behind Raven effortlessly Navi hopped from tree to tree until they were met with structural housing and the bulky street lamps that flooded the cobblestone path that laid ahead of them. Making their way forward Navi found herself trying not to step on the cracks in between the weird material on the ground. "What are these...square things?" She asked very curiously, still staring at the cobblestone and adjusting her pace to not step in the crevices. After her plethora of other questions, she managed to get back on track to the task at hand. Before she knew it, she was peering up at an old rustic building with an open sign broken and unlit dangling from the side of the place. Feeling a bit uneasy about the appearance of the place, Navi's feet froze, eyes still glued to what loomed in front of her.
Scanning the building, she noticed several windows that could act as escape routes if necessary. Creating a master plan of escape as a backup plan, she felt more at ease about placing her foot forward following Raven closer to the run-down structure. Suddenly, Navi noticed Raven effortlessly retract from a four-legged position into her upright human form. She couldn't help but get close and examine the new form of Raven. She still presented her scars that glided from her brow bone, grazing across her eyes and falling down to the middle of her cheek. She now had blonde curly hair that was as wild as her wolf form was, and her cool blue eyes still shone as bright and luminescent as the pale moon hanging above. "You're shorter than I imagined," Navi uttered without another thought in mind. "Is your hair naturally that color? Why are you a darker color when you're in your wolf form? Does that mean other shape shifters don't resemble what they look like in human form based upon natural hair color? Weird. I wonder why..." Navi started mumbling to herself as she placed her thumb nail in her mouth, resting her arm on the other tucked across and under her chest and stared almost blankly into the concrete below.
Snapping back into reality, Navi saw Raven motion her forward onto the foyer and point to a chair for Navi to sit in. Walking forward she dismissed the odd contraption Raven pointed to and continued to look around, touching and tinkering with all the knick knacks and modern things that surrounded the room. A few moments later, there was an older lady accompanied by Raven that stared directly at Navi. Holding out her hands, Navi took the rusty old key and listened to Raven explain about the place they came to. Trying to think quickly, Navi assumed that a hotel is the same as an inn of some sort. She perked up when Raven mentioned another Fae Navi could perhaps meet. "I suppose that would work," she passively stated. "It would be nice to learn more about my race," she spoke embarrassed by her lack of knowledge with her own kind. "You didn't have to do this," Navi added shortly. As Navi marched to the hallway to find the numbered room the key matched she paused, "Thanks," she swiftly said to Raven as she continued her walk down the corridor.
