South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

mira

The little rabbit was flushed out as intended into Raven's waiting jaws, it was an easy capture. Too easy. Mira always enjoyed the hunt but what she liked most was the challenge it so provided. Her mind calculated and the careful execution made he feel alive. She moved fluidly toward Raven, the usually sweet wolf that was so fearful and skittish around her. It was nice to see her so carefree, so lost within the glee of the hunt. It was enough to get the blood pumping, the mind fixated on one goal as they give into their feral selves, freeing them. But what Mira didn't anticipate was the subtle shift within the wolf before her, her mind unhinged in a way that it could be tangible. One could see it in her eyes, see how the once warm gleam of Raven's soft eyes turned harder, turned into an unpredictable wildness. A wildness that wasn't even entirely like their wolf counterparts but something else entirely. If it were not the eyes, it was in the way she hissed within her mind, a sinister warning hidden in plain words. Hardly like the woman she was moments ago. She paused for a moment, analyzing the other wolf, her golden eyes glowing softly, knowing as she had met this beast once before. A good creature to have on your side but a bad foe to have.

The dominance prickled within Mira, like a static charge that made her want to challenge that very statement of possessiveness. Much like how it was in her previous pack, nostalgia weighed heavily upon her. She could feel that familiar wave of heat of that lava that moved just below her surface, pulsing like a finger on a trigger. Mira peered at her with an even stare, her eyes even with her shoulders. There was a moment she regretted approaching the other she-wolf. She should have stayed to herself, there was a small battle waged within the lava wolf. One unseen, one she wasn't sure she could control if it began to ooze out of her.

Instead she speaks her voice contrived into a state of calm, if Raven lost it, most likely Mira would too. She couldn't have that. "You still in there Raven?" Mira questioned, keeping her own surging instincts down. She couldn't trigger the feral beast in Raven for her own sake as well at Raven's. She had very little control over her newfound powers and given the chance of any kind of confrontation she wasn't quite sure she could contain it. The oddly patterned she-wolf suddenly shook her head as if to rid a fly, she could practically see the internal struggle that waged within the other. She drew in a steady breath knowing how close the oddly patterned wolf was to losing it.

Her gaze met with Mira's own suddenly as if somehow becoming lucid. That shift in her eye clearly evident.

Just like that she let the pinned rabbit go. For a moment it stood there stunned before skittering off with frantic urgency.

"My snack? I am very certain you were very adamant that he was your snack. In fact you seemed very fixated on the little guy, you sure you wanted to let him go? Any longer I am sure you would have suffocated it. Anyways.. I am sure he will still die of fear." She teased the last few words. Surely she would know exactly what she was referring to."You doing ok? I thought I lost you.." Mira asked, unsure if she was truly Raven and still not on the cusp of that feral beast she met upon their first encounter. She wasn't quite sure she wanted to meet without the buffer of an evil chew toy to attack.

Suddenly, shattering the usual calm of the forest there was a very large screeching sound in the distance, a very inhuman sound that was bone chilling. It was as if the whole forest was silenced, not a single damn thing. It didn't sound like a feline, a candid or anything she had ever heard of. That eerie silence was like every creature in the wood was afraid to move, as if time itself held its breath even if only for a moment. Mira's ebony ears flicker upon her head as if unsure she had truly heard what she had.

She lifted her obsidian hued muzzle to scent the air. "Did you hear that?" She questioned, her golden eyes narrowed, tipping her head slightly to the right. It sounded close enough, but there was no sound that followed it. Curiosity stirred within her chest wondering what kind of creature could cause such a sound. Perhaps it was worth investigating. Or perhaps the woods were not as safe as she originally thought.
