If he wasn't so freaked out by the idea of vampires and such actually existing, he might have felt a little satisfied that she looked so happy while drinking his blood, as if it was just the thing to fill her up. He noted that her cheeks actually had a blush to them when she stopped drinking as if the cold had finally gotten to her or something. "Your cheeks..." He said in his slow voice, but it was all he could manage to get out. Then he listened attentively as she looked him over before telling him he needed to go get something to eat. He found himself smirking as he nodded his head. "Yes ma'am, will do." He even brought his hand up to salute her, but his hands felt heavy and it was a sloppy salute. He watched her gaze move to the horizon and wondered for a brief moment what would happen if the sun were to come up. He pictured the scenes from the movies like Interview with a Vampire where the little girl threw up her arm and screamed as she turned to ash. Would it be like that? He almost thought to ask before he realized it probably wasn't smart to ask a vampire about their death. Then she looked back at him, telling him to come back tomorrow. She brought up ice skating of all things. He felt one brow rise but he couldn't bring the surprise to his gaze as he might have if he was at 100 percent. Finally he nodded. "I'll be there. Sundown, I'm guessing?" He offered a light smirk, the playful look in his eyes watered down by her sedating bite and blood loss. Either way, a part of him knew if he didn't do as she said, she would hunt him down and she would find him. He had no doubt. Then she would most likely kill him and it hit him. He didn't want to die. It was enough to make his eyes darken for a moment before the drugged look came back. His voice was more sober the second time. "I'll be there." He mumbled. |
