The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The woman was entirely grateful that Malia didn't push the girl to explain about her roommate, Arlo and her having not spoken in awhile since their... falling out. She had known Arlo for months and never once had she seen his temper before; tempers she could deal with, but Arlo being a vampire and after that attack in the alleyway, she found herself to be more paranoid and frightened than she ever had before. Pushing those thoughts away, she heaves a heavy sigh as she toys with her cup of coffee, chocolate gaze lingering on the swirling black caffeine. The first question that is falling from the delicate woman's lips has Malia responding immediately, Miya hardly able to wrap her head around it. "Interesting," she muses more thoughtfully as their conversation turns to how Malia was raised. Blinking in surprise, Miya was still unable to wrap her head around it, though she tried to be as open as possible.
She had heard of animals adopting human children and raising them as their own, those children growing up to be animalistic and feral and never quite managing to fit into society. Though, Malia's case was entirely different, the girl having crown up as an animal rather than a human child. Frowning at the thought that Malia might have been abandoned as child simply did not sit well with the Asian woman. Miya was still... frightened of her friend but she was her friend nonetheless and she was trying. "You're getting better," Miya offers with a faint smile, though her eyes still hold that wariness. And it was true, Malia was almost a different person than when the two had first met, Miya, proud of her in a sense.
When Malia explains her dream, Miya's curiosity gets the best of her as she leans forward, listening intently to the story her friend provided. "Normally, humans can't remember when they're that young," she pauses, cringing at the use of the term 'human', "But seeing as you aren't entirely... human, it probably was a memory of your birth parents or at the very least, someone you knew. I feel like if you keep dreaming about them they held some sort of importance in your life," Miya states, leaning back as she lifts that coffee to her lips and downs the rest of it quickly, hardly caring about the way it burned her throat in the process. Setting the mug down, she still holds onto it while Malia explains a hunter had shot her.
Blinking in astonishment, Miya's brows shoot up in surprise. "How barbaric!" She exclaims, hardly realizing the danger that accompanied being a were-creature. "I'm assuming that's how you ended up in Sacrosanct," Miya says, surprise still coloring her voice. Finally, it was her turn to share her fear, the woman hardly wanting to tell Malia at all... but the woman had entrusted her story with the Asian woman, it seemed only fair. Sighing, she recites those fears, understanding so adorning Malia's features as Miya uncomfortable explains she had always been frightened of animals. When Malia reaches out to gently touch her arm, she doesn't flinch away from her this time and instead offers her a small smile, "I know, I just wanted you to understand why I might be a little... wary," she cringes, "You're my best friend too," she adds after a moment. Turning the flags down the waitress and pays for the two drinks, chocolate eyes turning back to Malia, more clear than they had been an hour ago.
"I have to go now, but let's do this again, minus the guys," she jokes lightly, though she's still shaken from the ordeal. When the waitress returns, she takes the receipt and shoves it into her bag. "I'll see you soon Malia, I promise I won't avoid you after everything I've learned," Miya offers a genuine smile before pushing herself to a standing position and leaving the cafe, feeling lighter than she had in a long time.
