The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It's not long after she stands that Hazel spots two figures in particular headed her way. She continues walking, it's only two people. She gave them the benefit of the doubt, as they came closer she saw that it was a man and a woman. They could be a couple, she reasons, until she notices the distance that's between them. A couple, perhaps, that's arguing. They strike her as odd, however, and it makes the fae girl uneasy. She walks with confidence, her head held with pride, she's not about to let two strangers make her falter. Her jaw set, she curls her hands into fists in her cardigan's pockets to relieve some tension in the rest of her petite body. The two are clearly walking to her at this point. It's a handsome pair, both the man and the woman, and they hold a powerful air. The man, though tall and intimidating in stature, seems welcoming enough. The woman, however, is a bit unsettling. This is despite being much smaller than herself. The man stops directly in front of her, effectively smashing all doubt that Hazel is simply being paranoid about the pair. They were definitely interested in her. His greeting is nice, to say the least. Easy and to the point, not so intrusive as most of these civilians are. His eyes study her, and she stands her ground, studying him right back. Or, that is, trying to. The woman stands a bit in the background, almost entirely hidden behind the larger man, but visible enough to worry Hazel. Hello she mimics his greeting, but her accent is still detectable. Then he says something that makes her heart skip a few beats. Faeries? Maybe that's what's different about them. They have the upperhand right now, and Hazel doesn't like it. They know a fact that she hid from everyone else so well, and they knew it before they even spoke to her. The man continues to speak. I haven't had any troubles so far. You're the first to recognize my species, in fact. I've lived as long as I have without too much of an issue. She's had a single run-in with a Dark Hunter, one that she easily put to sleep long enough for her to get far away. Her eyes narrow defensively, but she relaxes just a bit when he gives up their names. Andras and Navi. There's so much more to a person when you know their names. He dips his head in greeting and she smiles just enough, people don't give greetings like this much nowadays and it's a nice change. I'm Hazel. The woman, Navi as Andras called her, caught Hazel's attention with a comment that Hazel took terribly. She takes a step past Andras, closer to Navi. Her foreign voice drips with malice, I can handle myself, thank you very much. I am dressed for my own comfort, the clothing I choose to don is no matter of yours. She speaks sharply, never having been one for patience. The woman has a complete disregard for manners! What, is she accusing Hazel of being a common whore? The girl grew up in court, any comments of impurity are of the highest insults. The fairy is simply used to colder weather, having spent entire winters in thin tents next to a warzone. She likes the sting of the wind against her skin, it makes her feel more awake. A blessing for someone who cannot sleep easily. Even though she has confidence that her long cardigan allows for plenty modestly. Especially for this modern world. She fights her inner wish to cross her arms over herself, she will not let this Navi girl win. She spins to face Andras, her close proximity only shows how much he towers over her. Her face plainly shows her anger, any apprehension she felt before is blinded. Did you just come to insult my own self-defense? My choice of outfit? Her neat browns are drawn together, she steps closer with a finger pointed to his chest, Because I certainly don't appreciate it. |
