South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Snow had always been something Emerson had looked forward to each winter growing up. She had found memories of her family playing out in the snow building snowmen and snow angels. She even remembered one year she made blocks of snow and ice and made her own igloo. Her father had supplied the plans and they had built it from the ground up. She even camped in it one winter.

However, those fond memories were few and far between now. It seemed that now, she hated the snow. "It's well...cold. Feels like you can never really warm up." Having been homeless since she was thirteen, living on the streets made life difficult in inclement weather. She never did have shelter from the wind, rain, or snow. So now, when winter came, she froze her buns off until Spring. She wished it could be like before, but that just wasn't an option to her anymore.

However, the mood goes from bad to worse when they go from talking about snow to talking about how to arrived here. She sighed, giving the bare minimum details. Her story was personal and she hadn't found a friend that she could truly confide in. She didn't have that best friend camaraderie, something every girl secretly dreams about. She was utterly alone.

However, there is a soft hand upon her shoulder and her eyes flutter up to rest on Kathryn. She asks if there is anything she can do to help and Emmy isn't sure how she could help. She wasn't one to outright ask for money or a place to stay. However, if she was being honest with herself, she needed help in the most desperate of ways. "Do you know of a place that's hiring here? Playing guitar and singing by the fountain certainly doesn't pay the bills, I'm afraid." She didn't have any really useful skills, but surely working behind a counter at a grocery store or scooping ice cream couldn't be that difficult. She had basic math skills and liked to think she was personable. Perhaps there was a job out there somewhere for her.
