Henry didn't know the woman on the beach. She meant nothing to him. She wasn't in his pack, she wasn't his friend, and she wasn't his lover. She had no reason to deserve his help and yet...something within Henry couldn't leave her on the beach all alone knowing that the dog could have done some serious damage. Normally Henry was not the protective type, but perhaps it was the panther in him that demanded such actions. He was still getting used to his panther's actions. Turning were so late in his life had offered many challenges, challenges he was working with Tetradore to overcome.
Eyes remained soft and focused on the young woman as she stood nervously in front of him. Was he that terrifying? Most thought of him to be a pussy rather than a macho man who wanted nothing more than to scare the shit out of others. Henry was rather tame once you got to know him. This act of bravery was quite out of the ordinary.
She attempted an apology, almost as though it was forced. He didn't want to make her feel like she had to thank him. He just didn't want to see her ripped to shreds. "No need to thank me. Just trying to help." HE felt obligated in a sense to ensure her safety. He wasn't exactly sure why, but it felt right. Maybe he was more human than he had once believed.
She stated that she was lucky he was around and he shook his head. It didn't feel right to take all the credit. He stood there in an awkward silence, not exactly sure how to respond. Deciding that he was being rather rude, he stepped forward, extending his hand to her in a polite greeting. That was the social norm, right? "I'm Henry, by the way." He figured it was the least he could do.
ooc: not by best work but I'm trying to rush out the door
