The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

we built this city on broken glass
Frost could hardly deny that near satisfaction he took in considering the very ripples Alexander's appointment as Commander might make throughout that organisation, let alone his own promotion of sorts as the mans steed. The stallion was hardly oblivious to his less than stellar reputation within that organisation. The vast majority of those Hunters had staunchly refused to handle him let alone ride him. Frost near infamous for his poor temperament, stubbornness, lack of obedience and general unreadability when the mood should strike him. Not to mention that chaos he had left in his wake and the deaths of several more...prominent beings. How much it would irritate those very men whom had seen fit to spite him over the years to see him placed about them. Frost, perhaps, enjoying that consideration more then he should and yet a part of the stallion was entirely capable of remaining distinctly bitter over several facets off his young life yet to be rectified. This a distinctly promising step in the right direction and one, perhaps, that had near changed his view of the man who stood opposite him now. Alexander had kept his word, despite it all. Frost near taken aback by that singular display of consideration and affection toward himself and his own kind and yet, for now, he hardly said anything off it, even if he was sure to remember this day so long as he lived. Affection was not easily forgotten. The war horse instead choosing to comment on those local Council members. One of which he had held the pleasure of meeting first hand.
Alexander's near softly uttered comment that Alekai was 'short of patience' only further prompted that soft snort of amusement from Frost himself. Such a description entirely fitting for the blonde man. He had spent barely a few hours in the man's presence and yet it had been long enough to deduce the man's demeanor all the same. Alekai was hardly....cruel, as some of the men he had seen in that Unit had been and yet he was impatient, loud, easily frustrated and a terribly poor liar. He was not a bad rider, he supposed, that perhaps affording him some measure of distinction above those others who had sat upon Frost's back and yet such a pairing had been doomed from the start. That battle of wills between himself and the blonde Hunter having resulted in the mans ejection from that saddle and his bitter complaining the entire walk back. Frost himself equally inclined to that amusement at even the memory before his own thoughts turned inward once more, his fingers tapping against that railing in further consideration off those new appointments to be made. Alexander would have choices to make, several off them rather critical and choices he would be judged for. Then again, the Macedonian had hardly seemed to shy away from proclaiming his choices no matter how disagreeable others found them. Perhaps such boldness came naturally to Kings. Alexander not a man short on confidence in any capacity. Frost more fond of that very trait that he was inclined to allow the Hunter to know. That near blunt insistence from Alex that he was not running democracy coaxing that ghost of a simper to Frost's lips once more as he regarded his companion. Alex equally as insistent upon the merits off this Lieutenant he had already appointed, a Hunter not currently employed in the cavalry. Oh how displeased several of those men would be.
"You speak highly of this mystery man. I don't recall you speaking like that about anyone before. Have I met him?"
Those words were simple and as direct as always, Frost hardly one to toy around with an idea or assumption. Alexander rarely spoke highly of anyone. Whoever this man was to hold not only the ancient Hunter's favour- but also his trust, was one the stallion found himself near intrigued to meet. Even if, perhaps, he disagreed with Alexander's assurance the men of the Unit would not find fault with him. They could find fault with anyone when the mood struck them. Frost nothing sure of certain that this Lieutenant would have his work cut out for him, even with Alexanders backing. His query on the riding talents off this very individual inspiring that chuckle from the Hunter now, Frost allowing one eye to arch upward in a clear curiosity before Alexander announced this man could ride even Frost himself. The stallion's own lip quirking now.
"We will see."
He offered simply and yet not without amusement once more, those very accented words laced with a near promise of sorts to test that very thing and yet he hardly lingered upon such a thought long- even if his curiosity remained. He looked forward to discovering just who this lieutenant was and too- seeing how he and Alexander might deal with that Brigade at large. He had hardly anticipated any mention off his own Vector, much less Alexander's admittance he himself had a daughter. Frost hardly found himself opposed to the idea of his Calliel partnering this Anastasia- so provided they hardly rode in the front lines. Alexander and himself shared that very...affinity for war in a sense. Calliel did not. The girl lacked discipline, skill, training and everything in between. Her very personality was difficult enough to overcome and yet he suspected Alexander knew those things from working with her. He suspected too that Anastasia had been quick to learn off them. The age-old Hunter's insistence that Calliel, in the least, would hardly be bound to that service should she prove unwilling or unsuited was perhaps all the reassurance the Icelandic man required in this. Frost easily accepting the young woman's presence in those ranks before dismissing further talk of those vectors. That rarely offered ride suggested instead. It had, after all, been rather awhile.
Frost had already anticipated Alexander's response to that alone even if the pair so hardly ever rode simply for the sake of it, the stallion paused only to inform Nadya off his absence before following his companion down those steps and toward the park. It took barely a few moments for the Icelandic man to find some manner of concealment within those trees as Alexander waited outside. Frost peeling that clothing from his figure only to let that shift overtake him a moment later. Those heavy, feathered feet carrying him from the undergrowth then and over towards the Hunter. Those very...emotions somehow far more easily dealt with in this form. Frost hardly shying away from that welcomed touch of Alexander's hand nor that press of the man's head to his own. Frost, this time, pressing easily into that embrace, that soft huff of warm breath released in simple display of that singular contentment he found in that moment and too- those uttered Greek words that coaxed forward his ears in curiosity, even if he hardly understood them.
That Hunter's insistence that he had missed him was unanticipated and yet, so much about this very moment was unanticipated. That genuine affection so foreign to the stallion he hardly knew how to accept it and yet he.....liked it. Even if he hardly ared to admit it. Those words were meaningful in ways such words had never been meaningful before. Frost taking far more from that singular moment then perhaps even Alexander realised. The equine, for once, hardly even needing to consider the return of those words as they came. After all, they were decidedly true. He meant them. He had missed Alexander. That brush of Alex's lips to his forehead readily prompted that lift off his own foreleg up and across the man's body, gently drawing the man closer to him in that embrace. Frost content with the Hunter's closeness in a fashion he so rarely was with any other before gently releasing him. That foreleg, however, remained easily bent, allowing Alexander to use it as a step up and onto his back. Frost waiting several moments for the man to settle himself before striding forward. After Nadya's attempts at riding the return of a being capable of that skill was nothing short of pleasant.
Frost pressed easily into the deeper part of that forest at the touch of the hunters heels, the path still wide and those trees still tall enough not to make him feel as if they threatened close in on him. The stallion merely seeking to wander away from the people and crowds that tended to decorate the parklands on. Alexander, today, hardly seeming concerned with where he might choose to take them. That comfortable silence persisting for several moments before Frost finally offered the rest of those queries. There was much to be done to right the wrongs of that Unit. The stallion intrigued on some level as to where his companion intended to begin. The hunter's response to that first question on retraining the cavalry not unanticipated. After all, despite the failings of that department there were still a number of skilled men and horses amongst them, men worthy of that role and horses equally as valuable and likely not needing any training at all. It would be a waste of time and resources to retrain them. Frost's ears rotating backward then to better hear the man has he continued. Alexander assuring him they would return to those training centers in time. Those further thoughts pressed toward the Hunter now.
"You may, in a few days, once that paperwork comes through, hear about something of an incident at the Icelandic center a few weeks ago involving reports of a horse somewhat like myself. It....wasn't me. Just so you are aware."
That it very well had been him was surely clear and yet such an incident was perhaps better forgotten. Frost having returned to Iceland only once during that time he and Alexander had been apart. The stallion having managed to complete that singular goal of liberating but a single other horse from that establishment even if he had caused some degree of chaos in doing so. In the least the center had been required to repair its fences and a stable block- hardly anything of great dramatics and yet he was near assured that report might paint another picture. Alexander's comment on meeting the rest of those men tomorrow, now that a mount had been found for him prompted that easy snort from the stallion once more.
"I look forward to seeing this."
Surely Alexander knew, as well as he did, that those first meetings of their new army were not likely to run entirely smoothly. Even Frost, for once, content to bask in the tranquility of today before the fallout tomorrow would likely bring. The stallion falling silent once more as they passed that riding school where several children were being led around on aged ponies, Frost turning then onto one of those smaller trails that led away from the park and into the very depths of that southern wilderness. His pace shifted into that trot now, Alexander hardly seeming content on slowing him. Frost holding something of a location in mind as the pair continued. The ground was easily covered at that swifter pace. Frost slowing to a walk once more only to begin following that trail down that rather steep hill, his steps slower and more cautious here to prevent him sliding down that hill entirely. That earth slowly giving way to sand, those trees beginning to thin. The stallion at last stepping out onto that secluded beach. That spot a little known one and one that was, today, free of any other people.
Frost steadily made his way down toward that harder sand close to the shore then, his heavy feet so having a habit of sinking in that softer sand. The equine far more comfortable on that firmer surface even if the water lapped at his hooves. That wide open, flat space stretched before them decidedly....tempting and yet for that moment at least Frost restrained himself from that very gallop he desired.
"I have been working on something. Shall I show you?"
Those very thoughts were pressed to Alexander's mind alone, Frost waiting for that confirmation from the Hunter before breaking into that trot once more, Frost trotting forward several paces before swinging into that faster canter. The stallion allowed himself to travel only a few strides at that canter, that water and sand kicked up easily behind him before the horse near seemed to skip a step, that left foreleg he had been leading with switched to his right, Frost cantering forward another pace before that skip occurred again, Frost switching back to that left lead in those one-time changes down the beach. The equine changing that front lead with every pace. That high level dressage maneuver one the pair had only just begun working on before that fracture of sorts to their relationship. Frost, at last, seeming to have near mastered that horse version of skipping so designed to avoid enemy spikes he had previously been all but abysmal at.
"I know it could use a little work but I had to do something while you were away."
