South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It had been another night of no truly restful sleep for the were. There had been a couple points during those twilight hours where he'd felt his conscious and subconcious mind slip away into that place caught somewhere between wakefulness and sleep, but it hadn't gone any further than that. The sounds of the city streets, the late night traffic as cars honked and sirens rang out through the tall buildings made of steel and concrete, lights igniting the dark and slipping through those almost pointlessly thin linen curtains that were meant to block them out of the apartment when they were drawn, none of this was new to Levi. Born and bred in the city, specifically "The City of Angels", all of this had been present in his life from day one, and on most days there was a sort of contentment that would settle over the were as these sights, sounds, and smells would all assault his senses at once. Was it truly contentment, though? Perhaps it was more a mild form of appreciation for the background noise a city like this provided, the ever-changing sea of faces that might contain something - or someone - that might capture his interest as his senses were enticed and beckoned to the new and potentially amusing. It was always when his mind was still, his thoughts stagnant and allowing for boredom to slowly creep within the shadows of those smoldering earthen eyes, that the were became especially angsty. That was when he would begin to seek out something, anything that might promise to sate that hunger always gnawing at the man in such a way that, if left unentertained for too long, could be very much bad for anyone around him as well as for the were himself. While many city-goers would feel compelled to find a peaceful and quiet place where they could escape from the constant onslaught of it all, that was the last thing that the human in Levi ever craved. He wasn't like most, appreciating the beauty of mother nature. He wouldn't sit there to watch the sun rise over rolling hills on a misty Monday morning, revel in how the pale golden light would cut through the fog in beams so often leaving others in a state of awe and wonder as they soaked in the beginning of a brand new day. Levi didn't stop to listen and the birds singing in the trees, taking some degree of pleasure in their pitched voices that called out to their fellow feathered companions in a varied symphony. If anything, he only grew more stir-crazy in such a place meant to be soothing, calming.

Levi took amusement in that sense of inpending chaos and uproar. It might seem perhaps a little unexpected from a were, a being that was more often than not drawn to the stability so often offered with the structure of a pack. Especially considering the animal which rested beneath the surface of chiseled, toned muscle and that devilishly charming grin when he chose to wear it. One might believe he should feel that inexplicable draw towards others of his own kind, crave the sense of belonging that could only be found in being near others like him. Packs thrived on the similar structure that many creatures did, the following of a hierarchy where pecking orders were established and each member was given a responsibility of sorts. All were expected to give their best to their brethren, to place the need of others above their own. There was the promise of loyalty, to never question commands given. And, as it would turn out, all of this was the exact opposite of what it was that the man enjoyed. Even when the man had essentially been handed one of the best possible starts to life, having had two successful and happily married parents with astounding and well-paying careers on the good side of the city. He'd gone to private school, been provided there meals a day, and the attention most kids required from their mothers and fathers. In all reality, anyone from the outside looking in would have expected him to become a halfway decent individual, a functioning part of today's society - both human and perhaps even were. What many couldn't see, what even his parents had somehow managed to miss through all their meetings and corporate traveling, was that as he grew older and become more aware of the world around him and that delicate balance between order and disorder, the growing were had become bored. So well-bred and well-raised to be the smart creature his parents had seen and encouraged without truly knowing just how much of a challenge he would need to keep young Levi interested, it had been without the proper outlet that would be his mother and father's undoing. And so, the boy that could have grown into a promising teenage full of potential for the same great success his parents were known for would never come to be after the day he'd seen those older kids vandalizing public property only to snicker and sneer amongst themselves before summoning the principal of the school as well as police to pursue them for their unruly disrespect for what was not theirs. He'd watched the chase, the yelling... and he'd watched them get caught, only to see the challenge that those kids had failed at and think that he could have gotten away with it.

Since then, everything that could have been his future changed. Perhaps he could have been part of a pack, given his loyalties to those he might have considered to be his brethren and comrades, his family when he'd run away from his own past and the parents that had tried so hard to get him onto the right path after countless times of being brought home in the back of a cop car. But now, the man was more a rogue and outsider than he'd ever been. Nothing more than a troublemaker that took wicked pleasure in the disruption that he could cause others. No one wanted him - in a more permanent sense rather than fleeting nighttime affairs by the women he'd swooned into sharing a bed with - and he was very much content with this loner lifestyle of his. When all was said and done, pack life was bound to never be one he took to. He already had a terrible habit of testing the rules set down by the law, never having cared much at all for those laws everyone seemed to think would help keep the order of things as they should be, so he doubted that any pack in their right mind would dare to accept him into the ranks when he was certain to only arouse mischeif. It was as though the world was absolutely terrified of the inevitable chaos which came with living among other beings, other races while Levi was more than happy to tip any carefully balanced scale just to see what the result might be. The thrill of it all was a dangerous attraction to him, the adrenaline of taking and watching as the authorities tried to put the scattered puzzle pieces together that, to the were, were so simple to place. Oh yes, he'd been caught a time or two, in and out of custody for petty things only to be released like some runaway mutt until the next time he decided to challenge the laws set almost tauntingly around him. But that was the best part. Strategically looking back at what he could have done different and trying a different method. And then, there were those times where he hardly planned anything at all, instead seeking an altogether different and very much temporary remedy to the restlessness that acted like his own shadow. Like, today for example.

Unable to grasp that deep slumber, he found himself wandering through the trees in a part of the city he hadn't been to yet. The earth is dry beneath his paws, parched by the lack of rain as summer only just began to take its hold on this part of the world. There were not enough summer showers to quell the thirst of the foliage, and it was apparent in the drab golden color of the grass exposed to unrelenting amounts of sunlight while there were still patches of soft green where the shade was plentiful and therefore saving those blades from suffering as their innumerable companions less fortunate would until there was rain again. The splashed and vibrantly marked canine stops in his tireless trot, pink tongue lolled out to the side of his parted jaw as dark eyes look skyward to see the clouds rolling in, wearing an ominous hue rather than the lazy and stark white cumulus he had seen just this morning. That's different. The dog can sense the charged energy of the storm, and where some might have been made wary, it only further drives his own charged and restless energies further. Something about this suddenly approaching storm didn't seem natural, but he dismisses it altogether. He pads through the trees, head lowered to the dry earth and tail lifted as he weaves through the forest and towards the distant trickling sound of water found by large and rounded ears pressed forward atop his skull. Where there was water in a hot afternoon like this, there was bound to be something of possible interest. The wind shifts, and he pauses suddenly in his tracks as the scent of another reaches the dog's keen senses upon those unseen currents. Mingling with the scent of earth, water, and pine... was the essence of another canine. He presses on, the trickling growing ever louder as muscle ripples beneath his multi-toned and coarse pelt, the were hardly caring if his light steps were heard. A hunt would only excite the dog more in the end, anyway. The canine slows in his pace when the sound of then stream announcing his arrival, and as he stalks around the underbrush, that's when he sees her. The she-wolf was unlike any he's seen before, the wild dog only drawn more so to the way milk chocolate melted into sweet cream. He watches her for a moment, how she seems so very content to let the water run through her fur. Had he been human, there would be a doggish grin playing across his features as smoldering eyes trailing along her frame as he steps from the bushes."Looks like someone else had the same idea", he growls lowly, tongue lolling over pearly canines as he closes most of the distance between them in a blatantly bold way that only Levi would dare to, though it is only his front paws that touch the water."Enjoying yourself, gorgeous?", he asks smoothly, effortlessly as he stands there a small distance away, large ears fixed upon the she-wolf with intrigue as he waits almost eagerly for whatever reaction she would offer him.

Would she snarl for him to find his own spot? Invite him to join her? Maybe she would offer some sort of fiery remark that the were was so accustomed to getting from such entrances upon a scene that had been perfect or practically perfect - before he came along, that is.
