South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. we built this city on broken glass

The white-haired stallion so hardly needed any true ability to peer into the mind of the woman before him to deduce those thoughts that surely turned within. Ellie one of those few beings whom could be read easily and freely. Her emotions as clear upon her features as that warm smile and the bright hue to her gaze. The woman seeming to delight in his presence in a way so few ever had. It was...unusual. Frost almost intrigued with how readily she seemed to embrace his existence. She hardly feared him, as others did, and yet he suspected that she was hardly naive either. Rather the young Huntress was a decidedly oscure sort of individual. The sort whom seemed to find genuine joy in the world and the people who filled it. Frost had always been decidedly...baffled by those people. Their very resilience against the world and all its evils a power all its own. One the stallion almost....envied. At least in some fashion. How such people like Ellie could remain so joyous, so hopeful and so decidedly positive when the world around them was all but crumbling he hardly knew.

Perhaps, had his own life been different, he might well have shared that outlook. Perhaps his own thoughts had been tarnished to young and by the circumstances off his birth and imprisonment for so many years. Perhaps he had just seen to much. It was easier to hate. So much easier then to forgive. Frost long since having accepted his near lack of ability in that regard. After all, it was his very capacity to hate that had kept him alive all these years and too- allowed him to become the very sort of leader he had needed to be- and still did. Still- he could appreciate the young woman's very nature, even if it baffled him. That lack of fear intriguing in so many ways and yet, unlike Beylani, Frost held little need to exact that dominance over Ellie. She was not threat. Rather, she was valuable- as a.....friend. He had so very few of those though indeed that was surely his own fault. Frost rarely inclined to speaking, his nature guarded. That offering of a treat perhaps working to melt that frosted exterior just so.

Frost glanced but briefly around that park in the wake of the other man's retreat. The stallion assuring himself he was hardly about to be caught out by any other members of that Hunter unit seated cross-legged upon the grass. The manner in which Ellie proceeded to glance about in turn hardly missed and yet Frost offered little by way of explanation before reaching to take that sweet smelling treat from the bag. He so hardly required she return that favour he had offered in removing that man from her vicinity. Frost, for all he was and all he had done, held something of an understanding of how a woman should be treated. After all, he had been raised by a single Mother. Those ideals well instilled to a certain extent. That desire to protect only further pressed upon by his all-female pack. Frost decidedly sensitive, perhaps, to how unwelcome the advances of such men truly were. That treat was lifted dutifully to his lips, the man biting down on that cinnamon flavoured snack. That sweet, appealing taste readily satisfying. A soft sound of appreciation rising within his throat. That first bite swallowed before the equine queried on whether or not she had made it herself. The young woman laughing readily then. Those treats so apparently store-bought and yet she seemed inclined to try and make them if he might be inclined to test them. That near contemplative look finding his features then before his head nodded.

"I might be willing. I'm not against this taste at all."

That ghost of a simper found his own lips a second time in that brief touch of pleasure before his features shifted once more into that carefully controlled look of practiced neutrality. That sudden query on just what he was doing within the park was surprising and yet, Frost hardly saw any need not to offer that truth. The stallion prone to those near blunt words on occasion. Frost hardly one to dwell on small talk in any sense. Besides, Ellie was a Hunter and whether she worked for the Council or not he was so hardly giving away information she could not readily access for herself if she desired it. The Icelandic man informing her of that training he was here to oversee once his companions arrived. His words seeming to baffle the young woman before she inquired as to whether or not he was a Were. Frost allowing one violet eye to lift in surprise beneath that mop of snowy hair. Those words politely curious then.

"Yes, I am. I am a horse. Can you not sense it as other Hunters do?"

If there was any species he knew so well as his own it was surely Hunters. After all, he had grown up around them, spent most of his life with them and indeed continued to partner one even today. Most Hunters capable of readily picking any individuals species at merely a glance. Was Ellie simply not....practised? The young woman, it seemed, held more interest then he had anticipated in his own work. From any other being he might well have suspected they desired some sort of information, from Ellie he suspected her curiosity was simply genuine curiosity and free from ulterior motive. Frost taking another bite of that snack then. The man unhurried in every sense as his head shook softly.

"It is my job. I was born as a Werehorse belonging to the Council. A mount for Hunters to ride in those places they cannot go easily by themselves and cars or planes cannot access simply. I recently rose quite high amongst the ranks. My rider, Alexander, has become the High Commander, I was promoted with him. The entire Unit is under our control now. He deals mostly with the Hunters themselves, I work with the horses. Together we control the army. Have you never heard of the Mounted Division?"

That work, after all, was hardly a pastime so much as his very life. Frost rarely offering that information and yet he saw little need to conceal it. His words paused once more to afford her a chance to offer those further questions she might have before he asked after the book in her hands. Reading one of the past times he truly enjoyed. The notion she was reading a cookbook however was a surprising one. Frost shuckling softly at that question on what she should have for dinner.

"I fear you will not like my suggestions. Most do not. I am a vegetarian. If you are interested in vegetarian recipes though i can provide those."

He hardly expected she would be quite like the others and laugh at the idea off his vegetarianism as most did. The vast majority of people seeming to take amusement in it and yet he suspected the woman before him was not such a person. The man contemplating his favourite food for several moments before those cool, easy lyrics fell from him.

"I like carrot cake with cream cheese frosting."

It was a decidedly specific favorite and yet, the woman had asked and indeed seemed almost genuinely interested. Frost near assured he had never met another so...keenly intrigued in those very things about him others so often ignored. What a genuinely curious woman she was. The girl equally forthcoming with that information he asked after. Ellie speaking of a smaller, family council of sorts, one that has disbanded with the death of her parents. Ellie having taken up that waitressing position rather then returning to her families work. Frost frowning slightly once more in consideration as his gaze met the bright eyes of the woman's own. This, perhaps, the most anyone had coaxed from the stallion in some time. The stallions words direct and yet not impolite once more.

"Do you not have a desire to work for the Council here in the city? To take up your parents work? Or was the manner of their deaths what drove you from it? I do not know many Hunters whom would take up waitressing rather than hunting, the hunt does not call to you?"
