South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Henry wished he had fond family memories. For as long as he can remember, he doesn't remember anything about his family. At sixteen, he had run away from home, leaving behind his mother, father, older brother and sister. He had been a disgrace to his family, falling into violence at a very young age. If it wasn't the violence that had alienated him from his family, it was the drugs and alcohol. He couldn't remember the last time he ever saw his family. His brain cells were too dead to remember anything that far back. He still held the letter from the lawyers that said his family had died in a house fire and he was the sole living heir to the family's money. He had so much money he didn't know what to do with. That's where his problems got worse.

Henry continued to live a life dictated by when he could get his next hit or when the liquor store opened so he could get another bottle of whiskey. He doesn't remember much about that part of his life. He just remembers that it had been Sterling who found him strung out on drugs and it had been Sterling who helped him get clean. While he had relapses every now and then, Sterling was still his biggest supporter and was really all the family Henry had left. Perhaps that's why he clung so fiercely to the man. Perhaps he craved the love he gave him because it had been so long since he had been loved in that manner.

But now, Henry was clean. Well, mostly clean. He had only relapsed when he had thought Sterling had died. He felt so angry, so guilty for what had happened that it had plunged him back into doing drugs and drinking. Hell, he'd even found a new girl to sleep with. Since finding Sterling, Henry had been monogamous. But when he thought that Sterling had died because of what he had done, he grasped at anything that might make him forget those feelings of pain and hurt. It had worked for awhile, but once Sterling was found to be alive and well, it was as if the world seemed to right itself. Henry stopped his drugs and alcohol abruptly. It had been a long few weeks of withdrawal, but he had done it...for Sterling.

The conversation that went on between the two men was superficial and light, something that Henry was thankful for. It seemed that many people were interested in him talking about his feelings, his past, or his inability to adjust to his were life. They wanted to talk of things far more complicated than the weather or the changing of the tides. This was nice. It was a reprieve of the norm for which he was thankful for.

He speaks of this park as a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city and Henry begins to wonder just how new this stranger was to the city. "You get used to it after awhile." He pauses momentarily as the laughter of the little girl catches his attention. "...to the city I mean." He turns his attention back to Roman, offering the gentleman a smile. "Overall it's a nice place to be. I like it here." He liked very few places, but perhaps he loved Sacrosanct because of Sterling. He felt at home here. Perhaps, even, Sterling was his home.

Roman speaks of the children and his worry for them. He agrees and offers a nod of his head. "People seem too caught up in their phone or their conversations. You know, we could probably snatch one of those kids and they would never know. That's the sad part." If he had a kid, he would not trust anyone or anything with them. This world was a terrible place and it could so easily take away the innocence of a child if it was allowed to. When Roman continues, Henry cannot help but agree. "I have to say the same. Though, I'm not so sure kids are in my future." Two men couldn't have a child together and never once had Henry thought of adopting. However, the idea wasn't entirely off putting so long as it was with Sterling. He sighed. "I was the youngest in my family, I had an older brother who was pretty protective of me. It was nice." He misses his brother. He wished he had been a better sibling, but now was a little too late if you asked him.
