Nadya could only hope that Ebony would change her mind, for the boy's sake at least. She was relieved though when the woman decided to leave rather than inflame the situation further. Nadya's only concern was that Ebony wouldn't ruin it for everyone else. Her worries were calmed with Frost's assurance that her thoughts hadn't indicated she would become a problem. Nadya gently threaded her fingers through his hair, pressing that calming kiss to his lips before turning her attention on the returning older women. Sleep, that's what they needed and thankfully a spare cottage was available.
Nadya followed Frost into the identical cottage. Despite the stiffness of the bed and the chill that would surely nip at her, the wear on the long travel began to seep into her body as she lay beside Frost. The small bed wasn't meant for two grown adults but Nadya hardly minded as she pressed against her boyfriend's side. His natural body heat would keep her from freezing long after his affinity had left. Nadya was sure that the sun rose sooner here in Iceland than back home as those rays touched her face through the window. Her attempt to bury her face into Frost's side was interrupted by the sound of that meal bell. She didn't know why she had expected something else but there was that hint of disappointment in her eyes before that same glare was cast at Frost in his disguise. The only thing that made her capable of swallowing a few bites was the knowledge they wouldn't be here long enough to deal with another meal time. She'd have to eat another of those apples when they got back to the cottage.
It was a savings grace when they finally returned to the cottage and Nadya was able to devour the last of the apples Frost had pilfered the day before. She listened carefully as Frost began to explain his plan on getting as many of the herd out of the compound as they could. "We'll work with what we get." It was true that 10 minutes wasn't a lot of time but she was sure at a full run a herd could cover a lot of ground. Maybe they could find a way to jam the gates once opened. "Maybe if I can get a clear view of the joints my energy ability can disable them?" It would require stopping amidst the chaos, becoming a greater target, but if it bought them more time leading to more getting free then it would be worth it.
What caused Nadya to immediately put the brakes on Frost was the very idea that he wanted them to separate. There were no outsiders looking to Frost to lead and therefore Nadya had no problem now voicing objections to his idea. "...No, absolutely not." She pursed her lips and shook her head. "He's a child!" Did he truly think she'd be safer on the back of a child than him? "What if he freezes or something? We should stick together. Plus, what if having the both of us means the Hunters decide to leave the others alone and just focus on us? I understand the danger of being together but I don't...I don't want to leave you." She couldn't explain the grip in her chest at the thought of being separated from him...something happening to him and not knowing. How hard she had fallen for him that the mere thought of losing him made her tremble.
