South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Of all the places in the world Arya could be, it was unsurprising to find the WereSeal seated in front of the vast expanse of the ocean, listening to the crashing of the waves. If one knew anything of the young woman at all, it would be remiss to think she would be anywhere else. After all, she was a creature born of salt and sand, wholly designed to traverse the endless depths rather than cities of forest or concrete. Her heart belonged to the sea. The salty breeze and crashing waves soothed her soul, and so it was unsurprising that on days where her mind, felt like it was buzzing with a million different things she could be found on the beach. It was why she was seated on the sharp rocks, far from the sandy beaches that would surely be crowded, in order to find some peace to clear her mind.

It wasn't very often Arya was troubled by things enough to find herself venturing to the shore. Usually she went to the beach for her own enjoyment, to spend her days relaxing or to shift and get to swim freely in her alternate form. Today however was one of those rare off days. What should have been one of her few days off where she would get to rest and recuperate at home started off poorly as bad memories resurface with a text message from her parents. Her mind only continued down the rabbit hole until she was getting caught up in several different thoughts at once. If she didn't start sorting them out, there was a risk she'd end up getting, in a sense, stuck in her own head. It didn't happen often, but when it did she tended to be quiet all day and distant. Arya needed to organize her thoughts, and so she made the decision to leave for the beach to clear her mind or risk being locked in her apartment all day.

The young woman walked down the pathway that followed along the shore until she was away from the sandy beaches and towards the more rocky outcroppings. This part of the shoreline was not nearly as popular or crowded as the sandy beaches. While beautiful, the rocks were not soft like the sand and only got sharper the closer to the water you ventured. And the way the waves crashed against them at the water's edge made them treacherous, not exactly family friendly. Because of these things, it kept the area very quiet and peaceful. The occasional person walked along the walking path behind her, but she was left to herself. The day was nice, a gentle sea breeze tousled her brunette hair. She had placed a blanket down to make the rocks more comfortable. Amber gaze found their way out into the sea, her arms crossed over her knees as they held them tightly to her chest.

She was not aware of the world around her entirely. No, she was lost to her thoughts of the phone call earlier, and what to do with her life. Her parents had broken the news that one of her uncles was in the city, something...troubling. Not only had it been the first time she had spoken to her father on the phone, but her uncle wanted to meet up with her to talk. To say Arya didn't like this particular member of her family was an understatement, and the young Were tended to like everyone. And now more than ever she had been debating on actually joining Tetradore's pack, making the leap into a new life. But was she ready? Could she even fit in? What would her parents think? Could she even tell them? This whole concept of pack was so different to the family, the seal colony, she'd grown up in. Yet lately, now more than ever, she'd been feeling so alone and lost, and, perhaps, in desperate need of a friend or two...or a pack.
