South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

When Azrael asked her to accompany him on this mission he promised to keep her safe. He didn't have to make that promise. Perhaps it was because she was bound to her, their raven-haired witch. She knew he wasn't a huge fan of her species. The man always attempted to keep her at a wide distance whenever they were near one another. She respected his space and in return he did the same. Tonight though she wanted to be close to him as she possibly could. They weren't safe. They couldn't stay here anymore. They needed to get out of here and fast. Already they had one vampire questioning Azrael for his phone, they couldn't have their cover blown, not when they were amongst other vampires and so very close to the cages. They were sitting ducks here and if they weren't careful they would have a cage marked with their number and list of abilities with a shiny new price tag. Raven didn't want to be sold and stashed away in some lair or taken far away from her family and home. As soon as the Dark Hunter ordered her to run, she did as he demanded, not daring herself to take a look behind her. Entering the now mostly empty first floor she made a beeline straight for the front door, only to be forcefully stopped by two red-headed vampires.

Blue-grey eyes widened as she struggled to move. Each time she tried to lift up either forepaw she felt some sort of pressure that forced her to stay still. As the silver chain slipped around her neck her neck she could hear her own skin sizzle from the metal. Azrael still wasn't stopping. Did he not notice she was stuck here? Calling out to him she waited for him to turn around, hoping he wouldn't just leave her here by herself. Raven had no intention of being branded by them tonight. If she could wag her tail she would, ecstatically, because his heroic speech just made her trust him even more. As that burst of light sprung and swirled around him she watched in wonder. The sound of the silver chain snapping caused her to shake her head, neck and body to rid herself of that terrible sensation. She felt quite warm with that golden light now surrounding her. Ignoring the hisses and screams coming from the few vampires that remained on the top floor she bolted straight towards Azrael and then pass him for the car.

Running through the rows and rows of parked cars she made sure to leave plenty of space between herself and that horrendous auction house. As she ran she caught onto a familiar scent that instantly made her tail curl up underneath her. Nearing Azraels' car she noticed the headlights blinking, hearing those doors locked, using her telekinesis to open the door and shutting it firmly behind her. Sitting in her seat she watched as Azrael opened up his own door and turned the car on, and then speed off. As soon as they made it up the large hill and there wasn't anyone after them she shifted into a smaller form, like a small pup. Climbing over the console, carefully, she gently pressed her paws onto his leg and leapt into his lap. Leaning into him she pressed her small lupine frame against him as her head rested on his forearm. Her voice would press into his own as she nuzzled him gently.

"Azrael, the Council has to stop this...they just have to."
