South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

we built this city on broken glass

Praise from Frost, in any sense, was a decidedly rare thing. The stallion so very rarely inclined to offer it to anyone, for any reason. Very few things in his life deemed near exceptional enough to garner some measure of comment from the man and yet- the glimpse of control, that very ability to seize that moment and master it as displayed by Raven was, to his mind, something worth praising. It was a considerable effort for the young woman, he knew, to manage such a feat as that. In time and with further training he had every belief she could master that control- provided she was willing to practice. Provided she was will to work with that other part of herself and meet it as an equal rather then something to be feared. Fear, after all, was what had allowed that 'Other' this control for so very long. It was hardly a....bad thing, necessarily. Rather, a defensive mechanism, an attempt to survive, an almost instinctive thing that had developed in response to that life she had led. Frost not truly able to criticize her for such a thing. After all, did they all not merely do what they needed to survive? This Other believed it was protecting itself, the both of them really, Frost uninclined to argue with that. Rather, Raven and.....Other Raven merely required to find a harmony of sorts. Her ability to stop that assault the first step towards such a thing and indeed the war horse was inclined to admit that such a thing was an important step. In the very least it displayed the notion that progress was possible.

Raven rose easily then, her head held low and almost submissive. That gesture alone prompting that scowl to the stallions features. He hardly required her submission. He was not her Alpha. Respect, perhaps, was something to be demanded and yet that outright, submissive gesture was....odd. The stallion content to eye her near watchfully all the same, the wave of her tail at that praise equally curious. How very odd it was to see a wolf wag its tail in near the same fashion as a dog. How very...tame it made the creature appear and yet- Frost offered little more for now, the man hardly fooled by her as Raven continued to come closer. Each muscle within that wolf's figure suddenly tightened, her head lifted upward, Raven lunging a moment later to collide with him. Frost grunting slightly as he fell back onto that grass with the wolf atop him. His own affinity for that searing heat hummed readily within his figure, threatening to burst from his veins at any moment and scorch the unfortunate wolf and yet, for now, he so forced it back. Little good would come from turning the creature into a pile of ashes. How very upset Tobias would be. Frost, for now, merely content to meet Raven's gaze with a look of mild disdain. Those garbled, broken words finding his mind then, that frown only deepening.

"Horse is the only one helping you. If I can talk to you with respect then you can show it in return. Get off."

How distinctly cold those words were. That warning all he was content to give, that lack of instant obedience prompting that sudden shift within himself. Frost twisted in near the same moment that change overtook him. The man replaced with that towering draft stallion. Raven so surely sent tumbling from his back with no fingers or sharpened claws to grip, Frost wheeling to face her once more. His ears pinning back into the length of that thick white mane. How often those in Tetradore's pack seemed to forget their place. Raven or Other he hardly cared. The war horse unwilling to accept that disrespect from either of them.

"That is your only warning. Do not do that again. As for trusting- you do not have to trust me, you have to trust your other half which you seem to struggle to do in every instance. Iam hardly your biggest concern when you cannot even trust yourself. I think that is enough for today. Tell Raven to come and find me again later and I will work with you both again."

That long white tail flicked up agianst his flanks. Frost turning away from the wolf then, those heavy hooves thumping agianst the earth as he moved to head for the path that led back up through the forest. This....had been a long morning and yet, he supposed. Progress was progress. No matter how small.
