South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Raven wasn't quite sure how she got herself into this predicament. For some reason Lucian hadn't been around as of much lately. It would only be a matter of time before the business would have to shut down. There was only so much that the young woman could do. Even though she had the authority to order and sell items she did not have the records to whatever form of payment he was making to whatever bank to keep the business alive. How could she bring in more customers when she was simply paying the utility bills and employees to keep them around. The only reason why she accepted this simple mundane job was to keep her mind busy doing simple things. Take order of stock, keep the warehouse well stocked and organized, and always make sure to keep profit up. Simple right? Not necessarily when the Boss never shows up. Should the business go down she wasn't quite worried. The pay was merely extra pocket money to give to Alexis. She had other means to live on. It wasn't exactly what she would have wanted, but it kept her afloat. Though really if the place was taken and seized by anyone she would happily give them the keys and walk away, with whatever items Tobi kept within the warehouse. That was the least she could do for the spotted feline. As for the wolf? Well, he was poking his nose into her personal life and that was not a place she wanted anyone, let alone him, start to trespass on.

Earlier that evening she had set a plate of raw fish for the spotted feline. Raven didn't mind if the self-claimed King of the West District would find her or not. She had been learning that he was capable of finding her wherever she was. Though she hoped tonight he would settle and catch up on his sleep before he went on the prowl to look for her. She just wanted to be alone and figure some things out. Yesterday she received a letter without a return address. There was no friendly note, no charming small story about the one holding the pen, and there wasn't even an inquiry to know how she was doing. The script was rushed and the sentences were short. There wasn't even a name that signed any sort of endearment underneath it. All it said was to make her presence in the Park. Every few months she was required to meet at least one member of her Sister pack. The meeting was to be short and give proof that she was still alive and around and that they would need to continue to support her.

It was a deal she agreed to. Through her sufferings her Sister pack would continue to pay whatever expenses that needed to be paid, so long as she never returned to their grounds and did not attempt to join them. Raven had accepted her enduring punishment to remain alone and break away from the natural need to be among a blood-related pack. The first time she attempted to join that particular pack nearly had the case of losing it, as if they were King Charles's Head, wanting to disappear and be lost to her forever. An outcast to her own kind, she accepted this reputation, tried to apologize, but nothing would ever change their opinion. All she could do was simply try and enjoy the taste of freedom without anyone causing her any form of physical, emotional, or mental maltreatment. Finding a bench nestled within the beaten-off path of the Park she would sit on it quietly, her mind beginning to travel down the dark shadows of memory lane. Long nimble fingers twisting around one another in her lap, as somber eyes simply stared ahead, looking down the small knoll. A heavy sigh was given as she waited ever so patiently for her visitor, the sooner they came then the sooner she could be on her way.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
