The interior of the shop was quiet, homey even and as the earthen scent that seemed to permeate everything inside wafted towards her nose she could practically scent the magic that lingered in the air. It only increased her curiosity to find out more of this witch with whom she had shared such a brief encounter. That those on the Ark had known of her spoke volumes as well and the sense of power within her shop gave credence to why. A feeling of relief permeated her as the woman stepped into view, summoned by the soft call of her name no doubt, until that moment Carolina had been slightly afraid she was grasping at straws and making all of this up in her head. But that night she had returned to Sacrosanct, half starved and reeling from what she had survived had been seared into her mind and one glance was all it took for affirmation.
Of course Sorcha was confused, Carolina had been shifted at the time taking advantage of the leopard's lessened emotions and predatorial mind. She had felt like prey for too long before that. Eventually recognition breaks out on the other girl's face and the blonde feels her own smile grow slightly as she remembers that night as well. She nods in confirmation, glad that she seemed almost pleased at the fact which Carolina certainly was. She had always felt some kind of connection in that moment, the both of them bathed in moonlight with magic lingering in the air and earth all around them. It had stayed with her all this time though it sometimes felt more like a dream, she was glad it wasn't.
As Sorcha teased her with a nickname, which though not terribly creative was filled with such good nature she couldn't help the light laughter which bubbled from her pink lips. Though her next question regarding the ark sobered her slightly she shrugged it off for the moment.
Her head shook slightly, tousling the long wavy strands of dark blonde hair about her features. She could still remember the fear and terror that had permeated so many of their patrons aboard that boat as the realization that the huge, metal structure was surely sinking. It was pure luck and the packs hard work that everyone had escaped to safety. Though she had not lived there, the Ark had still been a home to her and a safe haven. While she was well aware of the less than savory things that had gone on there, it ironically had been her salvation upon her return to the city and gave her a second chance.
