South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Walk me home in the dead of night
I can't be alone with all that's on my mind
So say you'll stay with me tonight
'Cause there is so much wrong going on outside

She hadn't had any other consultations with artists before this, her last tattoo she got on a whim as well. Though that one she had picked off a wall, not being entirely sober when she had entered that particular shop but she still didn't' regret it. It was a good reminder of where she had come from. His expression and tone soured noticeably as she introduced herself and inquired about his own name, which was rather impressive considering the mood he was already in. The one word answer he gives has her biting back retorts along the line of 'pleasure to meet you too,' but one thing that had stuck for all her upbringing was that you could catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Instead she paints that placid smile on her sweetheart lips, though her façade slips marginally as the phone rings and she is treated to another one of his outbursts. Perhaps she should not be thinking about letting someone so... volatile tattoo her, didn't it take a steady hand? Sure Brendan obviously had a great throwing arm, but were it not for the work hanging on the walls she would be having serious doubts about his abilities.

Still she can't resist the sarcasm that creeps into her voice as she murmurs a quip about technology, and though he seems caught off guard by either the words or her tone he seemed to relax at least marginally as he broad shoulders roll. "Or me, if you aim gets any better." She can't resist replying, her ability to keep her mouth shut only going so far and sarcasm had always been a defense mechanism of sorts for the leopard. He seemed eager to get back on task however, setting up his notebook and pencil with practiced methodicalness as she began to speak. She wasn't sure what all he expected her to say though obviously most people who made it this far had more of an idea of what they wanted than she did. She can nearly see the change coming over him as he loses patience wither, one hand moving to twine a piece of her dirty blonde hair around her fingers in a nervous habitual tick as she finishes speaking.

He nearly cuts her off, swiping the notebook from in front of her as his eyes glowered in her direction and she feels the skin on the back of her neck prickle as her own anger flares in response. The reaction both southern and animalistic, two parts of her that aligned very well though not always in her favor, and she attempted to stuff them both down for losing her own temper right now didn't seem all that helpful... not yet at least. Typical man, she can't help but think as he jumps to many a conclusion that has her chewing on the inside of her cheek before his terse words are done. His growling continues and she fights the urge to roll her eyes, waiting with all the patience she can muster until he has finished to reply. "Your work is what brought me in here, I'm not artist but I can appreciate good work and the fact that you value it is obvious." The words are clipped as she maintains some semblance of congeniality despite the urge to hurl insults right back at him. "If you're half as good as you look then I can't imagine anyone wanting to get a piece by you covered unless there's something you're not telling me. I didn't come in for just any tattoo that Joe Blow down the street can pump out. I'm willing to toss some ideas at you and give you artistic freedom, unless your afraid of a challenge." Her lips curl up around the challenge as it leaves her mouth, so her skills at keeping her temper weren't exactly what she had thought, but she hadn't torn his throat out and that seemed like a step in the right direction.
