South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Animals. Humans always tend to assume that an animal cannot think or reason. That an animal is incapable of learning. An animal, they say, cannot feel complex emotions. Yet that is false. Any animal can think, they can decide on what they want to eat, where they want to sleep, and if they should fight or flee. An animal can be trained, if done properly. An animal can feel empathy, but not just for their own species, but for other species as well. Mother tigers could give milk to pigs, a tortoise could keep a rhino happy. A dog can curl up around a small child, to keep it warm and safe if it gets lost in the woods. Animals are clever and sneaky, perhaps a bit more than a human. Which makes a were-animal an extremely dangerous being to cross. Not only do they have the mind of destruction that a human has, but they can play on whatever animal they change into, using it to their advantage if necessary. Naturally teeth and claws come to mind, but that was easy appliances to use. She used another form of weapon, one that all females possess, but can rarely use. Their sharp tongue. She was given the gift of gab, while being in this form, and rarely did she ever use it, not until she needed to. What she had noticed about her opponent, was his cockiness. Like all males, both human and animal, they believed they were better and that all must fall below them. A male's ego was far too great, puffed up with hot air and all she had to do, was pop it. Using her nose, she had caught the changes in his hormones, alerting her that he was far too interested in the Witch. Knowing just which buttons to push, she slowly pushed them one by one. With a flick of her tail, her ebony skull cocked to the side as that wolfish grin grew wider, blue-grey eyes boring into his golden ones as she asked her question. Hearing his answer only caused her grin to widen, into a Cheshire grin, her all her teeth shown underneath the paleness of the moonlight that peaked through the dark clouds above.

"Not here and not now....but you still want to."

This, she knows to be true, the scent on him screamed such tantalizing things. Like all males, they get excited when they see a female that is approachable enough to consider to perform such an act. Perhaps it was due to the woman's clothing, clearly she was not dressed to enjoy a moonlight walk within the woods. Males, if anything, are brutes, hardwire to perform the most basic movements, not caring enough to breed, but caring enough to perform the deed. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the Witch starting to move, slowly she turned her head surprised to see that the Witch had finally done something right for a change. She may not know how or why he can move fast, but she knew how to work a trap and how to trick her prey. As he fell to the ground, a deep snarl rumbled in her chest, as her hackles rose. Her trick had worked. The hunter has become the hunted, oh how the tables can turn! The real world was a cruel and cold place and the girl with the disfigured face knew all too well, how to endure. Perhaps, the boy now caught in the same silver trap she had been in earlier, would be the final button to press, the final pin to deflate his ego. Earlier she had caused him to get upset with pointing out his desire to mate, and now, she had successfully caught him in a trap.

"Wolf....1...Hunter 0."

Slowly she took a step towards him, muscles rippling underneath her darkened hide, marked with various unique grey markings, blue-grey eyes narrowed as one tongue swiped along her muzzle. Gone was the need to run, while she still good. Gone was the thought that she should count her win and head for the hills. There was a sudden haze in her eyes, as the thought of being human was gone replaced with the natural need to kill. The curse of being a werewolf was coming into play, as that feral mind came into play. Her movements were more primal than calculated, the fur now standing on end as the warning growls that emitted from her muzzle were far more ferocious than before. Now, she thought, as the time to finally teach the hunter how a proper hunter treats their prey. Not by hesitation. Not with pity. The only thing a predator should do, when they caught their prey, was to kill it on the spot. As he began to stand up, a warning growl was issued as she opened her jaws wide, readying herself to pounce. Yet as she went to pounce, her claws and teeth caught nothing but air as she fell to the ground. Sharply her head would turn to see the boy behind the girl, taking the gun, but before she could react he fled.
An annoyed snort came out of her as she shook her head standing back up on all three paws, her left front paw held up, not really wanting to put too much pressure on it. As she looked to her paw, she would raise it, licking over the areas where her flesh was torn from that damn silver trap. Yet her eyes caught something large and brown. Pointing her nose at it, taking a whiff, a low growl of delight rumbled as her teeth sunk into the leather twisting her head and ripping the shoe clean out of the trap. Her tail would sway side to side as she shook the shoe, quite glad to have a memento. Yet as she shook her head, her upper torso would move violently from her fun, the wound he had caused along her side and shoulder stung causing the creature to yelp in surprise, feeling the pain. Dropping the shoe between her paws, she would turn to her side sniffing at it and giving it a slow lick wincing. Blue-grey eyes looked to the Witch, she would grow quiet just staring at her for a moment. She never saved someone before, and she wasn't quite sure if the Witch would be a threat to her or not. Looking back at her prize she snatched the boot with her teeth, before looking back at the woman.

"Mine."

She would set the boot back down on the ground, before whimpering softly as she examined her paw. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to fix this or the wound from his knife along her side and shoulder, but she knew she had to do something. Even if the Witch would turn into a threat.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
