South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

It was an odd thing... being a shifter. Though, it was the only thing Willy had known his whole life - though he was able to dabble in the human side growing up. Attending school and college, even launching a career as a human! It was exciting, as all things were exciting to the overzealous shifter. Yet, what Willy doesn't expect is the sudden question about communication that has him turning his head towards the warlock, his seasickness momentarily forgotten along with the devil dog sitting near him. A pinch appears between his brows as he thinks for a long moment, the orca was not one for long silences but... it was hard to explain without being a shifter to understand. "Well, it's sort of... complicated?" He starts, though his statement sounds far more like a question than anything else. "You know how deaf people have sign language?" He prompts, waiting for Brennan to grasp his meaning before continuing.

"Whales have gestures and even though we can't establish a mental connection, we can sort of get the gist of what's going on through sounds and movements," he frowns again, "Does that make sense? It's not a simple yes or no answer," he explains while the over excited Willy takes a backseat for the moment, a seriousness falling over him briefly. Though it hardly lasts long as his gaze darts to the demon-dog, only realizing how close he was. His complaint does not have the desired effect, Brennan casually explaining that he was, in fact, not a dog. "You've got to be joking," he mutters, pressing himself as far away from the animal as he can. Honestly, it didn't take much for the shifter to believe something - Brennan could have convinced him the sky was green and he would have believed him! Perhaps not the sharpest tool in the shed but... he meant well.

"Why in the ever loving god would you want to have a hellhound as a pet. What even is a hellhound?!" He exclaims, his gaze newly locked onto Barney instead of the horizon. "Do hellhounds eat people? Do I need to worry about losing an appendage?" And being Willy, rather than keeping hands and feet away from the dog, he casually covers his junk, though it's safely stored away in clothing now, it was his most prized possession!

He realizes his mistake after only a moment, the man beginning to feel a bit woozy once more as a quiet groan escapes his lips. His mind is distracted once more, as he glances out along the sea again to ease the roil of his gut. It's not an instant cure, though it does help especially as a fairly cool gust of wind presses against his face. Sighing in relief, he's careful to allow his gaze wander across the meticulous boat, Willy knowing nothing about boats and how they worked but it was nice to look at... right? It wasn't as if he had been on a lot of boats to note if they were nice or not.

The sudden question that is thrown his way has Zach glancing at the warlock, a sheepish grin stretching across his lips, "Well... I don't know anyone here and don't have a place to stay...," he trails off at a moment, it was clear what he was hinting at and yet, Willy really was never one to beat around the bush, "I figured since you picked me up and are already giving me a ride to the docks you could let me crash with you for a few days... maybe a week?" He grins widely, the devil dog forgotten for a long moment, "I just need to get a little situated is all," he explains, that stupid grin still stretched across his features. "I mean, you don't mind... do you?"
