It was difficult to determine whether or not the woman she was today truly would have been the same woman if she had not been terribly mistreated by those that were supposed to love and care for her. The curly-haired woman anxiously sitting on the exam table was a very selfless creature. She was willing to answer anyone's request, do anyone's bidding without a second thought. All that mattered to her was making the requester happy. At a young age she learned very quickly, that if the requester was happy with her then...she wouldn't be harmed, well, too severely. Now, if she tired asking a question or a favor, she was given a very hurtful answer. It was very rare for her to ask anyone a question let alone a favor. So, when she asked her husband to behave well...she hoped he would understand that what she was asking for may seem simple...but it was a lot. That soft snort coming from him didn't help ease her worry. When we moved over to his chair to sit, she gave him a small satisfied grin, happy that he was at least trying for her. It was a lot to ask for, she knew. Whatever he was muttering under his breath, she couldn't ask him about it, because her the woman with the mismatched eyes came in, and boy was she happy to see her!

Staying quiet, she watched as the Doctor entered the room appearing as if everything was fine and the little mishap with Heather didn't cause too much trouble. There was no denying it, there was a bit of tension in the air. There was no need for her spotted companion to be so territorial, but she couldn't blame him for being as he was. Although she wished sometimes, he wouldn't allow his animal half to always take control when he was uncomfortable. As Dr. Sanchez began to explain to Tobias that this place was her place, Raven nervously began to conjure terrifying possibilities on how he would respond. Would he yell at her? Would he try to bite her? Break her machines? How would she try to keep him under control? It wasn't like she was their Alpha...he was capable of keeping him in line. Blue-grey eyes narrowed as she gently pressed her voice into Tobias' head, her tone calm as she asked him once again to remain calm and behave well. Seeing that scowl on his face assured her that Tobias would be good...for now. Shifting her eyes towards the Doctor that small grin returned as the two of them chatted softly while Dr. Sanchez moved about to examine her. It didn't take long for the Doctor to complete whatever sort of checklist she had for this particular visit. As soon as she was finished Raven watched with eagerness as the doctor began to roll out the ultrasound, remembering when she saw on screen for the first time her child.

Doctor Sanchez would move the machine over to the examination table giving the couple a warm smile as she started pressing a few buttons to turn it on. Turning over to look at her mate she explained just what they were going to use this machine for. Raven had heard some couples choosing to wait, but that wasn't going to be an option for her. Not when she had Tobias constantly asking her what the gender of their baby would be. Pleased that he would want to know she turned to the Doctor and nodded with enthusiasm. Without hesitation she grabbed the top of her pants and gently slid it down, while taking her other hand to lift her shirt up. Easing herself into the exam table she giggled softly as the Doctor began to rub the cold gel onto her skin, finding it ticklish on her skin. Quietly she watched as the Doctor pulled the wand, watching as the Doctor began to move it about. Eventually Raven could hear that odd thumping sound come from the machine. Looking over to her husband she held her hand out for him, slipping her fingers through his own. The Doctor would murmur softly as she continued moving the wand along.

"That thumping sound is the cub's heartbeat, and it sounds like a very strong heartbeat."

The Doctor would continue moving the wand about for awhile as she continued. Eventually on screen the fetus would show up. After a few more minutes the Doctor would finally remove the wand from Raven. Grabbing one of the wipes she would gently start wiping the gel off her. Letting go of Tobias' hand she would lift her pants back up and place her shirt down.

"Everything looks normal. I do see anything that concerns me other than you handling your stress. Stress is not good for you or the cub. Mr. Cain, I expect you to help Mrs. Cain keep her stress down."

The Doctor would look over towards Tobias' with a raised eyebrow wondering if he would accept the challenge or not. After pushing the machine back into its proper spot, she stopped and turned to look at them. With a wiry grin she clasped her hands together as she looked at the couple.

"Congratulations, you two. You will be expecting a boy! Unfortunately, we won't be able to tell which species it will be. You'll know once he completes his first shift."

There were a lot of thoughts that seemed to collide with one another as Raven began accepting the news that her first child would be a boy. It was thrilling and terrifying all the same. She never grew up with a male sibling. All the kids her age didn't really grow up with her. Raven got to be with them from time to time for school, but most of the time she remained locked up while they tormented and teased her like the other adults did. Bearing him a son meant his family name could be passed on, not that she didn't think Tobias cared about that. It would be interesting all the same to try and raise a son. Luckily she was surrounded by a few male friends...surely one of them could give her a little bit of advice when it came to raising a boy.
Moving towards her cabinet, the Doctor would open a drawer and start to pull a few things out. Turning around she presented Raven with a few more brochures, helpful reading material to look over. Her other hand would extend over towards Tobias, containing few lollipops of different colors.

"Now Mr. Cain, I think you behaved very well. Thank you for respecting me, and being a fine Father. If your son is a leopard, I am sure he'll have the cutest ears, like his Father."

Taking the materials from the Doctor, Raven would ease herself off the table quickly reaching her mate's hand, not bothered at all by his claws. After saying their goodbyes to the Doctor and walking through the hallway, hearing some residents gasp or shriek at the sight of her husband displaying some of his animal features, she kept a firm hold on him, muttering softly to be nice. Once they made it back safely inside the car Raven would gently press her hand on top of his head and scratch behind his ear.

"You did wonderful back there Tobi. You didn't hurt anyone, I'm very proud of you. We'll have to figure out what to name him, but we have some time. Come on, lets go home and we'll celebrate. You can tell me what sweet you want, and I'll make it."
