South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Alistair was hardly oblivious to that near quizzical look he was given at his mention of the drawing that had previously occupied his attention. That weak attempt of a simper upon her features caused his brow to rise as he listened to her awkward response. Alistair's shoulder's lifted ever so slightly. "I guess so." He paused for a moment before adding in a vague explanation, "Sometimes it helps to draw something mundane when I get stuck on something more...intricate." He was well aware she had hardly asked for such information and yet, bizarrely enough, he felt obligated to justify his peculiar choice of subject matter. The pair fell into a sort of awkward silence with Alistair having little notion of how to break it, much less if he even wanted to. Socializing had never terribly been his forte, nor, it would seem, was it hers. He heard that soft breath that left her lips at the very sight of the bar, the reaction only garnering a brief glance of those emerald irises as they neared the front door of the exterior. That query, as she reached for the door handle, however, prompted a small shake of Alistair's head. "No, not really. You're the second I've formally met...aside from my maker."

He watched as she flung open the door, the woman clearly far too comfortable with bars in general. Perhaps she was not much of a hunter either. After all, Adrien had been some sort of...health freak what with the eating and exercise regime he had outlined to get Alistair in shape for proper hunting. He could almost hear the man's voice in the back of his mind lecturing him on the importance of keeping his wits about him...and etc. His head shook ever so slightly, pushing away those thoughts as Alistair stepped into the bar with Gia at his heels. She was quick to approach the bar stool, tapping on the one next to her with a clear indication of where he should sit. Alistair had no qualms about settling onto the stool beside her and yet, it was the ease at which she placed her order that saw him raise his brows. The artist, admittedly, did not frequently spend his time with the sort of women he knew exactly how to order liquor, his sister aside. The expectant shift of her gaze upon him, however, caused his gaze to shift to the bartender awaiting him. "Uhh, bourbon, on the rocks."
