South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Raven Cain

Although she did not know much about his past, she doubted he knew what it was like to be seen as the pack's problem child. Back then her former pack saw her as a mistake that needed to be brought down. The first time she lost control and severely harmed a few members of their pack, they had every right to end her life right then. When she got loose and trespassed over a neighboring territory, members of her own pack helped cover up the crime. Did her pack try to save her from herself? No. They just cleaned up her mess and enacted physical punishment, thinking it was the best way to handle her. Instead, they would inflict painful punishment thinking it was the only way to keep her in line. When she joined Tetradore's pack, what did she do? Cause another problem by getting into a fight with Frost. Tetradore could have thrown her out, but he didn't. As a family they all did what they could for one another, and wasn't that the reason why she accepted being in his pack? To finally be loved and belong. Looking out the window to watch her husband run about she sighed softly with a faint smile.

"That may be so, but I don't always want to be a problem, Tetra. You know I love our family, and I've always done what I can to help them out, including you."

Surely, he could count how many times each member of their pack had caused a problem for himself or everyone else. And Raven wouldn't be surprised if he realized she caused most of it. She didn't mean to though. With the snack she prepared mostly eaten she stopped and continued to watch her mate leap and jump about without a care in the world. In many ways she wished she had that capability to live without worry, life would be a little bit more manageable. As to raising a child far away from their family, well, Raven wasn't quite sure how she was going to manage that. She wasn't certain how she would be able to raise the child in the first place, let alone teach herself or Tobias how to do it. Reading books and attending maternity classes would only get them so far. This was probably one of those rare moments when she wished she could ask her parents how they did it, well, before they mistreated her. And what if her child had both of her conditions? There were so many ways that raising their child could go wrong and she had to prepare for the worst, because why should she expect anything to right? And God forbid she cause annoyance or pain to her own packmates. And all Tetradore could say was try. Was it really that simple? Turning her head towards Tetradore, she gave him a firm nod.

"Okay Tetra, I shall continue to try."

Was she certain that she could do a good job? No. But that didn't mean she couldn't at least try. Pushing herself a way from the countertop, she grabbed the two empty plates and walked over to set them there. A loud thumping sound on the backdoor caught her attention. Puzzled she moved backwards slightly to see her mate steadily lifting his paw and 'batting' it at the backdoor, leaving his muddy paw prints on there. Bemused she shook her head as she heard his voice press into her own. She watched as he scampered down the porch, looking back and releasing an annoyed yowl. He was always impatient. With a small simper she placed her hands over the small bump of her belly, leaning her back against the countertop for a moment.

"Tonight's hunting night. There's a herd of deer we've been tracking over in the east. You are more than welcome to join us, but I understand if you have other plans. If you ever want to drop by and enjoy some peace and quiet, you can come any time. I know Tobias wouldn't mind that. Thank you again for the books, and coming by for a while."

Heading over towards the backdoor she made her exit walking down the porch steps where her mate was waiting for her. Shifting into her wolf form she took a few steps forward as Tobias bounded towards the trees. Turning her head around and seeing Tetradore remaining inside the cabin she gave a slight wave of her tail, her way of saying goodbye for now, before turning around and following after her mate.

i'm not ashamed of my scars,
i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.
