South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

When the last moon is cast over the last star of morning
And the future has passed without even a last desperate warning

Her voice stopped in the middle of her sentence, the delicate moment shattered abruptly as Aislinn wheeled back, her feet digging into the ground as she strove to put some distance between herself and the fence. Her ears pinned against her skull as she glared at the man who would dare to touch her. Her! The Queen of the Celts! How the modern world seemed to fail to understand the underpinning of the social hierarchy! The very nerve of him! Her indignation was all but hissed at the steed with palpable vehemency, though he hardly seemed perturbed in the slightest! Rather, the ivory stallion seemed to stare at her like a dolt, entirely incapable of comprehending the liberties that he had taken with royalty despite the speed at which he had pulled back from her. He was, by far, the most utterly infuriating man she had met in a particularly long while. One who was clearly so full of himself to think that she might traverse across the Mongolian plains just for him! Especially when he had yet to prove himself even worthy of even a minute of her attention!

The maiden huffed as she assured him she'd watched the races every year - this one certainly no different and most definitely not for his benefit alone. After all, she was hardly certain he was the winged horse she sought out and even if he was, his very temperament was all too reminiscent of the other unicorns that Aislinn had taken to avoiding. They acted as if they were God's gift to mankind - as if she was not one of their equals. At the very least, the previous years winners had regarded her with the same awe and reverence that she surely deserved - a lesson that Frost could certainly learn from. The very mention of his mannerisms prompted an audible snort from his nose even as they reached the end of the fenceline. Aislinn took particular care in ensuring she remained a pace or two further from the barrier then she might have before - enough to guarantee she remained entirely out of his reach.

Aislinn was hardly surprised by his cutting words. Rather, she had come to almost expect them from a man who would so dare to insult a Unicorn. The ethereal maiden rose to the challenge, turning his query back upon him, "Maybe a unicorn is too much for you to handle. If you find me haughty, perhaps you should stick to regular mares...or maybe even fillies?" Her head tilted to the side, her soprano lyrics equally as biting before Aislinn pointedly turned her attention back to the matter at hand. Fulfilling those traditions she had set out for herself was somehow important, even if the ivory steed failed to appreciate what was being offered to him. Really, the similarities between the wingless steed and the other unicorns she'd had the misfortune of spending several decades with was almost...astonishing. It was a fact she was content to inform him of before repeating her question, "The prize money and saddle are for the rider. Not for the horses, who do most of the work as it is. What do you want?" He seemed to struggle with what the Celtic Queen deemed a rather easy query, his mind focusing instead upon a far more mundane fact - the others.

An exasperated breath left Aislinn's nose, her head shifting to the side as she briefly contemplated leaving the man to his surely wayward thoughts of other "less haughty" unicorns. Oh, how she'd like to see his face at the discovery of how many of her kind were typically male! "Yes, there are more of us." She answered flatly, her attention only returning to him at the muffled sounds of his heavy hooves on the grasslands. He pressed himself heavily against the wooden fence post and immediately, Aislinn took a step further away from him, ensuring she remained far enough away to avoid any more of those...surprisingly gentle touches. He seemed to truly consider her offer for a moment, the Queen wholly prepared for some grandiose request. The very last thing she anticipated, however, was his desire for her name. For a moment, Aislinn turned to openly gawk at him, the silence persisting between the pair before she clarified. "...that is all you desire? My name? I offer you the world and you want my name?" Her head shook in notable disbelief and yet, she supposed a prize was a prize. If such was what he desired, this one was fully within her capability to grant.

Her true name had become lost to time, her title alone persisting in those stories of her victory. The woman she had once been, however, with a deep flaming red hair and high cheekbones had equally disappeared since her transformation - since her acceptance in the ranks of one of them. Aislinn had long gotten used to it though, just as she had the name she had been given by her own maker, it having become her identity for far longer now. "You may call me Aislinn." She informed him after a moment's pause, only to step further away with every intention of leaving now that her self-assigned task had been completed. "I am not running away, you know. You just aren't very agreeable company." The unicorn added, only to pause several feet away from him. She was certain she was going to regret this - his ego hardly needing the additional stroking when he was already so arrogant to begin with. A soft breath left her nose, her serpentine tail swishing with mild annoyance as the female begrudgingly turned back towards him. "...you did well Frost, it was a good race...not that you need to be told that since, as you said, all of Mongolia is telling you that...what's one more 'haughty mare'."

Then look into the sky where through the clouds a path is torn
Look and see her how she sparkles
it's the last unicorn
