The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I'm not the only one who notices that the ice cream doesn't stay cold and puffy for long. One minute it's melting in my mouth and the next it's melting in my hand, running down my arms and getting everywhere. It's so sticky and cold! He looks up at me, his own gaze as helpless as my own. I follow his gaze down as he starts to scrabble away at the tub, trying to scoop the liquid back in but it's not working. His exclamation has me frowning as I look down at my own liquid snack. He keeps scrabbling away at it even as our talk turns to Raven. I don't know what I'd do without my roommate and best friend. She's practically my only friend if I don't cound Tobi. I don't even know if he counts as a friend. I guess we hang out and stuff so I guess that's a yes. Even as I cower under his firm words and domineering posture, he stiffens up more, making sure we both know who's boss. I'm not about to fight him over anything and he knows that but I don't know what I'll do if I can't hang out with Raven anymore. What would I say to her? How would I explain? Would she get mad at me for giving in or Tobi for asking me to? I don't reallty want to find out. At least when I submit, he relaxes his body language, letting me relax my own in turn. He continues to run his fingers around the tub of ice cream as I talk and I don't even know if he's really listening. Finally he shrugs. His words make a slow smile spread across my face as my eyes light up. "I can? I mean, thanks...I think." I frown a little. Am I supposed to be asking his permission to play with her? I'm not quite sure. Maybe I'll ask her about it later. She knows Tobi a lot better than I do, after all. He grins at my face and my brows furrow in answer. It's like he likes it when I'm sad. What an odd guy. He seems satisfied with this converstion though. He perks up when I mention something else and I shift uncomfortably. I shake my head and scowl. "No!" My answer is instant, my eyes wide with fear, but I try to slow my heart beat as I exhale and try to explain. "My last pack...wasn't nice. I couldn't trust them. I don't want more strangers, more people I can't trust." I look down, my voice sad as I start to trace circles in the dirt. I look up quickly though as I hear a slap and a scream from Tobi. I jerk back at the slap, the mere sound of it reverberating through me as if he had hit me. I stare at him with wide fearful eyes, unsure of why he hit himself or why he screamed. Then I notice the wet spot on his jeans and the wetness on his hand. I tilt my head, uncertain but curious. He growls before pushing the tub of ice cream away, even kicking it. I jerk again at the violent motion, a shudder running through me. He tells me that he doesn't want the ice cream anymore so I drop the scoop and stand slowly, not sure what he plans on doing next. His question makes me back up a few steps as I throw up my hands in a surrender gesture. "N...No. I don't know how to fight. I only know...how to run." I scowl, ducking my head, not sure how he'll like my answer. At his second question, I look up but my face is uncertain, my eyes narrowing in suspicion. "Depends on what it is..." My voice trails off as I watch him, my muscles ready to dodge or run if I need to. |
