South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

I've never understood why people are obliged to feel guilty when they hit something that gets in the road in front of them. How is your fault that you can't stop a 1,000 pound vehicle on a dime just for the sake of some jay walking creature that decides to play invincible and cross the road without bothering to listen for speeding tires approaching? Isn't that what a sense of hearing and smell is for? You would think a deer would be able to smell the rubber of the tires or the humans within the vehicle or at least hear the engine getting louder. Of course they have small brains so what's the girl's excuse? She still has a human brain in serpent form, doesn't she? I don't know, I've never asked a were if they feel a shift in organs when they turn animal. Maybe I should research that some day. But why should the driver feel guilty for not knowing there's a stupid creature about to cross the road? You can't stop it, you can only hope for the best and in this case, the serpent's lucky that Isolt didn't get hurt but my car on the other hand...it's going to have get some garage time after this. I'll fix it up just fine though.

As the snake turns human before our eyes, Isolt is ever the modest one, asking for a towel and I oblige, only rolling my eyes once my back is turned so she doesn't see. I hand her the towel from my car, scowling when I see the guilt so obvious in her bright blue eyes. It's like she thinks she can will the girl to get better. Not going to happen. She gives me a look when I show my sarcasm and while I might expect to get scolded, I'm actually a little surprised that I'm not. Is she really that upset? She tries to console the woman, telling her no one's going to eat her and the corner of my lip lifts a little. My head tilts curiously when she tells her that she can make it better though. What's she going to do? As she puts her wrist to her mouth, my brows rise in confusion. How is biting herself going to help? I watch as she sinks her teeth into her own fragile flesh and the blood bubbles to the surface. I scowl, fighting the urge to put pressure on the wound until it heals. I don't like seeing her bleed. It makes me uncomfortable.

She holds out her wrist to the woman and now I'm really puzzled. What is her blood going to do? The were's hurt but not dying so it won't turn her. She tells her that it will help her and I part my lips.

"Isolt what are you..."

My eyes narrow with unspoken words. I'm going to have to ask her about this later. What does she know about a vampire's blood that I don't? The girl looks at her extended wrist but I only see recoil and disgust so I don't think the girl will be taking her up on her offer. Guess I'll have to ask about it instead of finding out this way. The were closes her eyes, a breath shuddering from her body. I wonder if she broke ribs or just badly bruised them with the collision. I still say she shouldn't have been in the road. The girl suddenly speaks up, saying there's a witch who can help her. I scowl. I've never liked witches. They're too into controlling things, the undead included. I shrug my shoulders a little when she doesn't say a name.

"I only know of the one who owns the witchery. I guess she'll know where we can find the witch you're talking about if it's not her."

Without asking permission, I suddenly lean in and slide my arms under the girl's body to lift her up. I do it rather gently, not wanting to jostle her too badly and as I stand, I cradle her close to my body. If anyone were to see us, they might think I actually care about her or something but the fact remains that I'm only doing this for Isolt's sake. I make sure to keep the towel wrapped around her so she doesn't think I'm trying to feel her up or anything as I turn toward the city and raise a brow at Isolt.

"Meet you there."

I give her a reassuring smile before I take off toward the witchery, my strides long and smooth, almost as fast as my car really but every step away from it makes me ache cause I can only think of all the work I'm going to have to put into it once I get it back to the garage. I swear if anyone touches my car before I get back to it, there is going to be some dead bodies piling up.
