South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

the saints cant help me now

How many times would she do this to herself, she wonders as her foot taps an impatient patter on the ground, the sole of her dark green converse shoes making a pleasant pat-tat-tat sound in rhythm with the beating of her heart. Darkness encompasses the park now, the moon barely a sliver peeking its shy face out from behind a thick layer of clouds. The forecast called for storms and a new level of cold for the wintery city; she should be curled up in the warmth of her scratchy hotel comforter watching some Friday night movie on lifetime with poor acting and an overdone plot. She most certainly should not be leaning with her back pressed against the stone structure of a bridge in the middle of Hyde Park waiting on some excitement or another (drugs, maybe?).

But she is.

Her arms tremble from the cold, the hunter green sweater doing little to cut the chill that the wind brings; her flesh is peppered with goose pimples but still she doesn't move â€" not more than that constant tap of her foot and the darting of her sea foam eyes.

As much as she would like to go back to the cozy and welcoming little room at the hotel where she is staying, she knows she needs this. Her thinking time â€" the place where she goes to be alone despite the numerous dangers lurking in the depths of Hyde Park at this time of night. A small part of her has the good sense to be leery of the shadows â€" perhaps there are dark hunters taking advantage of the park's ability to attract shady creatures?

After much surveillance and a final reassurance that she is (for the moment) alone, she begins to relax, her muscles loosening as she begins to shed the tension that has kept her shoulders knotted for days. Her head falls back, a cascade of dark brown hair tumbling across her back as her eyes find the moon; it has finally moved out from behind a cloud enough to give off a decent amount of light and it is reflected in the pale green of her eyes, giving life to their naturally ethereal depths. She wonders what it might be like to be the moon, looking down on the earth in its darkest time â€" when the monsters came out to play.

Monsters like herself, cold beasts with no souls.

Creatures of the underworld.
