South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

There was something so innocent about snow. Out of all the elements and what could be made out of them snow seemed to be the purest. The white blanket over the hills within the outskirts was untouched, and not ruined by anything vile enough to touch it. With the pitch black night sky meeting the edge of the snowy ground provided the picture perfect feeling of peace. Peace was especially hard to come by for the darkened creature that laid low underneath the massive evergreen tree. Tonight she could have been anywhere. The need to be around her familiar was strong, but tonight she wasn't feeling anything on the witch's end that told the lupine her presence was needed. Quite frankly the she-wolf never thought her charge was ever delighted when she showed up on her doorstep. The Ark was busy tonight with the fights that continued to rage on and although she could tolerate it tonight she simply did not want to be around such a thing. Lately she had been suffering nightmares that had seeped into reality. For the past few days and nights she had been slipping into her feral mind and luckily she hadn't committed such heinous acts. Sure she may have chased two foxes into the perfect fox hole and talked back to a horse â€" who really should be an ass â€" and yet thankfully she hadn't done something she would regret.

Blue-grey eyes silently watched the valley upon her comfortable snowy hill. The evergreen provided a bit of security from the howling winds that attempted to tear through her thick coat. Unsure if she would turn feral tonight or not she didn't want to take the chance. Although she wished for warmth and company from her spotted friend she did not want to put him in any sort of danger. The very thought of harming him in her nasty state was utterly terrifying, especially when his Alpha was around. If she had attacked one of his own then surely the invitation to his pack would be revoked. Tonight she would simply wait it out, away from everyone, for their safety and her conscience. Already she had to live with the guilt of killing her entire pack while in such a terrible state. Lying her head down over her grey paws, a soft whimper of loneliness came out of her, as her obsidian form twitched and settled deeper in the snow. Grey-trimmed ears twitched forward when she heard the familiar sound of her kind howling in the distance. Although she could not join in their call that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy hearing those unearthly songs as they made this snow-filled night even more tranquil than before.
