The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. I am quite content sitting here on this metal bench. Yes, I am freezing cold, but I would rather be here than cooped up in the house with my handlers. Honestly I wish I could simply run away and go somewhere. Mother and Father had left me money and I would receive it when I turn 18 which is in a matter of weeks. I'm thrilled. Soon I will be able to leave my handlers behind and become truly independent. I'm not sure what I will do first with the money, but I am pretty sure it will have to do with leaving my handlers in that hell hole. Thank God Mother and Father didn't say I had to be 25 in order to get my inheritance. I notice the golden-stained stallion is slowly making his approach towards me. I stay still unsure if I should get up and move to him. As he gets closer I give him a polite smile and as his muzzle brushes roughly at the side of my hand I quickly yank my hand away â€" worried that he would rather have a taste of my flesh than the juicy apple. I am not familiar much with horses. I know a little bit about them and I know they can bite fingers off if they miss the apple and I prefer to keep my digits. While the apple falls to the ground I bring my legs closer to me, once again, wary that he might bite me. My bright blue eyes watch as he begins to eat the apple watching with some curiosity never having seen a horse so up close before. It is when he decides to bring his massive head upwards and shove his big nose in my knapsack do I frown in disapproval. Gently I bring my hand up and smack the side of his face, in a gentle, but surely annoying manner, while my other hand grabs my knapsack and I quickly bring myself to stand and walk away from him. My voice holds a slight tone of annoyance and determination as I place my hands on my hips â€" my voice not holding a tone that others may use on animals â€" still talking to the stallion as if he were human and not some dumb animal.
"Hey now...that is rude. You may be an animal, but I will not treat you as such...I am sure you have manners."
Surely the horse would notice that inside my knapsack I had an old faded leather wallet tucked safely and hidden in a side pocket inside my bag, a book, some pieces of gum, and of course a few more apples. Mother and Father taught me to take care of myself and I know I have to eat healthy. Besides I hate going to the doctor and you know what they say â€" an apple a day keeps the doctor away â€" and I want him far away from me as possible. I take another quick step backwards and reach in my bag to take out two apples. I take a bite out of one and I gesture, in my other hand, the other uneaten apple. Once more I speak to the horse as if it can understand everything I say.
"Now this is my apple...and this one can be yours, here...I don't think you trust me and that's okay."
As I munch on my other apple I move my hand away should he try to take it from me. I take another step back and bend down, placing the uneaten apple on the ground. After all he does not seem to want to take the apple away from me and well I don't want him to bite my fingers off. I tilt my head upwards, looking through my golden locks as I give the stallion a small simper before I go back to standing. It was when the approach of another comes. Part of me is a little bit frightened. My parents died by a males' hand and I remember it vividly. I do not trust males and I take a half step back towards the stallion, placing myself between the two. I eye him carefully and I half-heartedly drop my eaten apple to the ground all thought of food gone. Giving him a polite smile I shake my head not wanting to help the man out. Something is not adding up right with what he is saying.
"I am sorry Sir, but he does not wear shoes and I cannot see a trace of an imprint on his back or along his face that shows he has been ridden."
I turn my head over towards the horse that seems to be happy munching on all my apples. His head is near my own after he brings it up from the ground and I whisper softly near his ear for only him to hear, while my eyes stay locked on the male.
"You know I like to be away from my handlers too...if you take a step to the right you could kick him."
