The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. "There is beauty in scars. They're symbols of struggles, and anyone worth anything understands this and would find your pictures stunning." I firmly believed the words I offered the wolf, my voice holding no doubt. Her physical scars were resembled memorabilia that you might collect from a trip or a holiday, showing some kind of sentimental value of the place and time they were collected. At least, the scars resembled that, to me. Surely to the wolf, they were wounds in her memory, marring what might be otherwise perfect, pristine flesh. If only the wolf could see whatever scars I held internally, perhaps that would have made her feel differently about what was physically written on her skin. My scars, though some were indeed visible on my body, were more emotional and psychological, finding their way to visibility through experiences and a relationship cultivated with me. For if there was no relationship, I would hardly give reason to believe there would be such destruction in my history. It was easy to accept things as you saw them; for all anyone knew, I was entirely whole while this wolf in front of me was as a tattered rag with it's shreds flailing in the wind when in all reality, it was the opposite of such roles whereas I embodied a tattered rag. The shards of my glass were brushed under a rug of a somewhat capable exterior, framed with pretty hair and attractive features that gave no tell to what might be beneath. How troublesome it must be to feel that your outward existence should dictate your beauty. I saw loveliness in the animalistic way the wolf's eyes roamed the scene in front of her, in the way she gently tilted her head to look at the images presented to her. My own head tilted as if curiously looking at the images to try and see how she saw them. "They are all yours!" I found a soft smile wrapping its warm tendrils around my facial features, happy to give the photos to my muse. "I haven't ever met a wolf before, I guess it's time for a few firsts!" It was true that I'd never seen a wolf before. They weren't particularly what you would call in abundance in Africa. They weren't common in Georgia either, and there was very little outside of that state in the United States that I had experienced enough to know if they were common in other areas. Thoughtfully, I ran a hand through my hair while I debated asking where she was from before deeming the question too personal with an uncertainty if it was impolite to ask a were a question such as that. I had disturbed the creature from her peaceful meal, it was only right that I harbor personal and intrusive questions to myself instead of offering them out loud to the wolf. Though she seemed amiable now, maybe even interested in my activities, I didn't want to push my luck with the predatory animal, especially as it seemed her instincts were far stronger in this form than any other were-animal I'd met. Her words, however, gave me a start from my thoughts by drawing me back to the present and coaxing my crystalline gaze to meet her own as her words met my ears. "I do try," I agreed teasingly, though my eyebrows began to knit together as the wolf divulged that her own witch wasn't as nice. Was there something I missed? Bemused, I shifted my scarf to cover more of my neck as I fought for an appropriate answer. "...You have your own witch...?" |
