South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

hold onto this lullaby;

Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

She could hear her heart pounding in her ears. It was a loud thumping noise, erratic in the way it grew faster and faster as she ran. She couldn't tell if it was because of adrenaline or fear or most likely both. Adrenaline kicked in to allow her body to amp itself up, to pull itself together and give her extra bursts of speed. Fear was a great motivator, it encouraged those extra bursts of speed, encouraged her paws to barely leave an indent in the earth. Fear because she couldn't wrap her head around the fact that she was encased in shadows, her fear of the dark was something irrational. The metal bullets whizzed by them, off to the side because the Hunter's couldn't quite pinpoint their location. She was thankful for that. She followed the larger canine, a blur of white fur while her smaller legs tried to keep up.

She was on Raven's heels, dodging the brush and branches and leaping over any that was in her path. She wasn't used to this mad dash through the woods, she was used to knowing her exact location and knowing that where she ran, it was still safe. This, this was not safe, this was death and blood and metal. The sound of breaking bone was so loud that it echoed around them, the shout of pain that accompanied it was also music to her ears. And she never wished ill of anyone, not one to even condone violence unless it was truly necessary. She'd caught a bit of a reprieve, running only a few steps further than the wolf, her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth as she pulled in lungfuls of air.

She danced a few steps back as Raven dropped the book, she was sure Frost would kill her for the canine-scent that enveloped it's pages. Maybe he wouldnt even notice it. The larger canine's words though, catch her off guard, they were almost accusing as if her Alpha had failed to teach her where things were and were not dangerous. But Claire blamed her father for that mistake, for not warning her of death and destruction from those who smelled of silver. "I do--I've only just arrived. I should--I should be getting back to them," She says it with conviction, almost as if she should shift, take the book and run back to the safety of the house. But she couldn't hide within those four walls forever, she would have to learn somehow. Today was as good a day as any apparently and she couldn't help the way her ears pricked forward for the slightest of noises that wasn't out of the ordinary. "Do you have a pack?" Call her curious but she was always wanting to know the slightest of details of everyones day, a habit she'd picked up from being kept caged for too long.
