The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I like this part of town. So small and quaint, almost reminds me of my home town. I bet people leave their doors unlocked here and called out to each by first name as you walk by on the sidewalk. Everyone must know everyone. It's almost heartwarming. I watch with a raised brow as two children run by giggling, obviously not scared of the boogeyman. I wonder how many people go missing on a daily basis here. I'm almost tempted to add to the numbers but something else catches my attention. I can smell the metallic tang of magic in the air, making my nostrils wrinkle as I move in closer in the shadows, silent as can be. I watch with a bright blue gaze as the witch moves in on the whimpering child. It's almost fascinating to watch and I'm more than willing to take out a bag of popcorn and get comfortable but then someone sneaks in and ruins the whole thing. I can smell the stench on the brunette as she makes herself clear with a large axe in hand. Hunters and their weapons....party poopers. She takes a swing at the witch but comes up short and the witch dives for the child. Stupid witch, doesn't she know she should take out the threat before she turns on the prize? The child was too scared to run so she would have had time to use her voodoo or whatever on the hunter and still get to eat the kid or whatever the hell she does with children. The Hunter backs off but then does something odd, taking one of the sharp heads off of the axe. It comes apart? How intriguing. I tilt my head, watching as she sends it sailing across the room and beheads the witch. Bravo. I almost cheer but my hands stop in mid air as she goes to the child, telling him to go home. He nods and takes off, sure to convince his parents to put him in an asylum the minute he gets old enough. Oh well. I scoff softly and turn back to the hunter, watching her drag the body off. Now what's she going to do with that? I know most hunters try to hide the supernatural world from humans but she could have just burned it where it was or something. I watch with interest as she drags the body over to a piece of soft dirt and takes a shovel out. Digging huh? The old fashioned method of getting rid of a body. I know the hunter could probably behead me like she did the witch but I'm willing to risk it. I step out of the shadows with my arms crossed, looking every bit as amused as I feel. "Wouldn't it be easier to chop her up or something? Wouldn't have to make such a big hole." I shrug lightly as if it's no big deal, leaning up against a tree to wait for her reply. |
