South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Edith hadn't particularly had a reason for her move away from England, other than that the young girl felt a certain level of restlessness that had prompted her to flee her home and take the first plane over to Sacrosanct. It was certainly a thought that her parents had fought her on at every level of the way, even going as far as to entirely cut her off. Edith had hardly cared about that fact, determined to prove to them that the young were could survive without their help. The downside was, of course, that the plane ticket had eaten up the majority of her funds, and it wasn't as though she'd had a job lined up here. Or even a place to live. Or a plan, really. Just an overwhelming sense of wanderlust and an absurd amount of stubbornness.

As it was, Edith had found a soft spot in the Outskirts and had blown the last bits of her money on some camping supplies that was enough to give her a temporary home until she found a job here. Or at least, a pack to fall in on. Her parents had never really belonged to a pack. In fact, it seemed as though her parents were entirely willing to ignore their Were heritage. It was something that had been talked about briefly when she was a child, and forgotten about entirely when she had gotten older and learned to control it. It was mentioned only once a month when the moon would affect their shifts, and even then it was as dirty a conversation as it came. Edith, however, had always enjoyed her were form. She often chose to spend time locked in her bedroom curled up as a fox. If her parents had known... well, they certainly wouldn't have approved. It was this that had led to her decision to flee England in search of somewhere that would allow her to be herself.

Tonight, Edith had been curled on her sleeping bag reading a book in the dim light her flashlight gave her when she'd heard the distinct sound of someone else nearby. It was often that she'd hear another animal near her camp, or the sound of birds overhead. But this sound was distinctly human, and it had led to Edith turning her flashlight off and crawling out of her tent to investigate. She tucked the flashlight into the pocket of her robe as she crept into the shadows. Shifting perhaps would have been a better option, but that option was still so foreign to the girl that she chose to investigate like a human. She was hardly out of sight of her tent when she found the source of the noise; the young male kneeling in the grass was particularly interesting to her. It wasn't often she met other humans out here, but even more so, it was less likely that she'd meet another Were out here. But still, there was no denying as she observed the male that he was like her. The excitement of it all was enough for her to ignore her sense of self-preservation and step out of the shadows, making her existence known to the male in the clearing.
