South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

I'll love you for a thousand more....

The city would never stop being a constant mystery to her. She had come to realize that no matter how much she unwrapped one layer, there were so many layers beneath it. Nothing was simple like back home in her small country town. Everything was a complex struggle for power or survival, while Scarlett was content to simple exist, ride the waves of the city. She had only dipped her foot into Sacrosanct, begun to get involved in the city and its inhabitants. The werewolf was cautious though, knowing if she submerged herself too much she would slip into the abyss and drown like so many before her. Luckily she was adaptable, it made it easier to stay afloat.

The mass amount of people of the city made her uncomfortable. Each crowd she was forced into made her feel like she was suffocating. Luckily there were a few places to escape, one of which being the local park. While it was normally pretty busy during the day, it called down at night, and so it was the time she usually chose to go. When the sun set, is when she emerged from the safety of her apartment. The night was both a sanctuary and a danger for her. There were dangerous people out at night, hunters and drunks. People who would hurt, rape, or even kill her. But the risk was worth the reward as her lithe form seemed to glide over the concrete.

She wore a tight hoody and regular, old jeans. Her hands were shoved in the pockets to keep them warm as she moved briskly beneath the city street lights. It was still early enough that cars zoomed past her and young adults seemed to bustle all around her, the night calling them out to party. Luckily, no one seemed to take notice of her as she walked into the park, slowing down to a gentle pace and letting a sigh slip from her lips. It was much more peaceful here and still a few hours before any druggies or shady people started wandering in. So the blond girl was content to simply stroll down the pathway, the sounds of the city muffled by the trees, making it easy to forget where she was.

It didn't take long for emerald eyes to spot a play ground, designated for children. Yet, there were no children out and so she was free to take advantage of the opportunity. Without even looking around to see if anyone was watching her because, well, she simply didn't care, she took off running to the swing set, a huge grin across her lips. She sat down and began to swing back and forth, long blond hair blowing around in her face as she did. Scarlett threw her head back and laughed, laughed out of pure enjoyment. It was the little things that made life worth living.
