It had been awhile since the first full moon when she allowed herself to run around without a care in the world. It was never her intention to be among so many Weres at the same time. It did nothing but cause her to feel internal panic set in motion the fear of being harmed. She was used to being attacked within such a large group and having everyone around was just- uncomfortable. It brought back memories that she was trying to lock and hideaway, her wolf form giving her that chance to forget, but that ability was knocked down by the sudden uneasy that came from being around others. She was learning how to trust Alexis and Tobi, but she could barely trust Lucian. After her intrusive questions about her past, even though he was trying to be polite and at least get to know her, it did nothing but leave a bad taste in her mouth. Being among the other Weres she didn't know, or trust, hardly allowed her the capability of being okay around them. Truly she wanted nothing more than to run away, as far as she could, at least to feel comfortable once again. She stayed only for Alexis to make sure no harm came to her new found friend. She had felt accustomed to being protective of her and that damn black cat had invaded on an invisible line. She had no one. She was not a part of a pack. All she had was Alexis. Both Tobi and this, Naddy girl, had each other they were pack, and since they had each other she didn't find it necessary that they too could have Alexis. Alexis could understand her, far more than anyone else could, and the best part? They didn't have to say a thing. She just knew. As a loner, even with a pack, she had no one to relate, but now that she did...well she didn't want that to be taken away from her. She never had a friend before and she felt threatened by Naddy and Tobi. They were pack, they could attack, and offer more protection for Alexis then she ever could, and should Alexis decide that she wasn't needed anymore well...she would return to solitude once more. It was natural for a Were to align themselves with a pack- we were social creatures after all.
The black and grey she-wolf was content lying on top of a flat rock beside the babbling brook within the woods. Her eyes were closed, but the way her ears swiveled around atop her ebony skull, she was hardly inattentive with her surroundings. The soothing sounds of the stream throwing itself against the rocks seemed to give off a peaceful lullaby as the crickets chirped, and the frogs croaked. There was some light fog tonight, a thick mist, early detection that it would be another wet night. With the chipper wind rustling her thick fur she was hardly concerned with staying form, her particular species of wolf was built to thrive in cold conditions. The wind was the only reason why there was a shiver crawling down her spine. She had been sleeping at home and in the warehouse for far too long and she wanted to get some fresh air for a change. Earlier that morning, before she slipped out to head to work, she left some fresh fruit on the kitchen table, a note written that they should meet up within the woods. It was high time they do something together for a while, something that would be fun. What that would be she didn't know, but at least it would give them both a reason to be out and about rather than stay within their home.
I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
