South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

living like we're renegades

South
long live the pioneers
rebels and mutineers

There was something utterly peaceful about being shifted, as if she were finally whole again after walking around only being half so. It was a tedious balance being a Were, finding the line where girl ended and leopard began. The problem was they overlapped so much these days she had begun to find, the longer she lived with her altered state the more those lines blurred. Still she could enjoy moments like this when she could simply be what she had become. Her large head settling atop her snowy paws while her eyes drifted closed, relaxing for what felt like the first time in weeks. She had waited some time to shift since coming to the city, not wanting to get caught out in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people, no she was smarter than that. She was reflecting on her first weeks here when the sound of feet crunching leaves causes her bright blue eyes to flash open.

Her head cranes to watch as a slender woman appears, the soft song she hummed finally reaching Carolina's sensitive ears as she seemed to search for something with her bag slung over her shoulder. Naturally she chooses a spot to settle that is a mere leap from the leopards perch which finds Carolina now considering if jumping down and scaring the woman out of her wits is worth it or not. Her fun is spoiled though when the woman senses her somehow, their eyes meeting through the limbs of the trees as she invites her to watch. Watch what? It is that naturally feline curiosity that persuades her to do just that. She steps off her branch as if she were stepping off a curb though she is a good twenty feet off the ground, her large body oddly making no sound as she lands on all four padded feet. She circles wide, her large feet carrying her around and to the front of this woman, long tail trailing behind her and twitching with both nervousness and intrigue.

Her brilliantly white pelt intermingled with her telltale black markings shift as the large muscles carry her closer now, head raised as interest sparkles in her gem like eyes. Curiosity killed the cat after all. As she approached she slowed, head lowering as the woman began to mix this vial of liquid with that, a light huffing sound of inquisitiveness coming from her jaws when she began to bead at it with a mortar and pestle. Very strange indeed she thought, and while she could well have shifted and asked Sorcha exactly what she was doing their meeting felt more natural like this. Finally the leopard decides to stay and watch the odd show that was being put on, her large body stretching out for comfort as she lay down, her long tail flicking here and there. Her pink tongue lapped casually at the hair on one of her thick forelegs as the woman worked, plush ears flicking at the sound of her voice once more. Brilliant azure eyes shift back to her once more, taking in her words though her head tiled in curiosity at them. "What more could starlight do?" she wondered as her gaze turned upward to take in the brilliant display of the universe overhead.
