South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Don't fret precious, I'm here

South
Little angel go away, come again some other day.
The devil has my ear today.

There are some actions that become routine for us, like the sandwich you order when you go out to lunch between meetings because the deli is a nice little place. Or the route you take when you're driving home and you're trying to avoid traffic. There are some actions that simply become routine and they never feel completed until you've run through the motions of that routine. Though my elicit activities weren't necessarily routine considering they didn't follow a pattern and hardly were they the same thing twice, generally they involved the graveyard that lay at the far side of Hyde Park. While that was quite the stomping ground for the majority of those who were on the wrong side of my hit list, even if there wasn't someone dead at the end of the evening it didn't feel complete if I didn't traipse back to town through the graveyard that led to the park.

The park was mostly empty when I breeched the clearing that led from the graveyard, either because of the late hour or because things had been unsettled in the city lately and some didn't feel safe roaming the borders of their sanctuary late at night. Half of me wanted to agree and say that it wasn't necessarily safe, especially for creatures who weren't human; creatures who weren't mostly human, at least. I was more human than not â€" save for the vast array of magical abilities I held. They protected me to say the least, but individuals without the hefty group of powers at their literal finger tips might have chosen to stay away. I would, if I were them. Luckily for me, I'm not and instead I'm rather capable of holding my own against whatever it was I might find anywhere in the city. I'd proven that much, at least. There was very little that I might face out here that'd cause me â€"

Fuck.

What the fuck?

Before I fell, I managed to right myself and find the ground beneath my two feet. The only sound that alerted me to any other individual was an irritated hiss that came post-crunch of whatever little insect I'd squashed in my attempt to keep my balance. The furry blob that I'd nearly landed on when I'd so gracefully tripped my way around them seemed perplexed at my appearance but - hey. The blob looked vaguely familiar and I was filled with the recollection (not that I wanted it) of Tobias' latest self-invitation to sleep under my sheets. I bent to examine the fluffy blob to ensure that it was indeed okay, and was greeted with both irritation and some kind of feline disgust that I'd interrupted it.

"Pardon me, but perhaps you shouldn't let your pets play in the walk way, then."

Admonishing the tiny feline, I gave the area a brief survey to see if it belonged to anyone. And when a larger clearly matronly feline lurked just beyond my field of vision, it struck me that the tiny monster belonged to her. Was this Nadya, the mother of Tobias' kittens? Thoughtfully, I reached a hand to the kitten before I was unable to stop my Shadow from twirling loose of my figure and scampering around as if to beckon the kitten to follow it in a nice game of Cat and Shadow.

Like I had any say in the matter, anyway.

"Does this belong to you?" My voice intoned rather quietly, knowing the feline would hear me regardless of how far off it was.
