South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. It's so unfortunate when items are left unattended.

The small heap of dark clothing by the creek side seemed to dissipate shortly after Eleanor's departure, vaporizing neatly into the folds of a faint, wispy black smoke. If Eleanor was to return to her belongings where she had left them there would nothing to collect, save for any woodland souvenirs the Fae had seemed so keen on rummaging for.

She could keep her sticks and berries if that was what she truly wanted.

Now, her clothes resided in the soft pile of dirt that only seemed to be inside the mushroom ring. When exactly they had materialized there seemed uncertain, but there they lay, heaped together as if that's where she had stripped them in the first place.

It was not an offering. It was not a gesture of kindness or good faith. It was not an attempt to clothe the half-naked Fae in his clearing â€" though that's what made it all the scarier. This was his clearing. And she knew that, didn't she? The rules were different. It was his web and he was the spider, others the fly. Only the ones who were desperate enough crawled so willing into his clutches, begging, pleading, borrowing, betting... but she was not here for that. He knew the moment that she had arrived that it had not been on purpose.

What a pity.

The mushroom ring remained untouched, still and unchanging in her presence with its newly placed treasure in the center. The taunt that lingered behind it stood loud and clear, daring Eleanor to step forward and retrieve her earthly materials, though Animal was not so foolish to think that clothes alone might keep her from fleeing. Yet the offer remained, the meaning and intent of the gesture uncertain and risky. After all... mushrooms rings were, in theory, fairly harmless.

The stillness of the grass and scattered blue flowers ceased suddenly, a light rustle of wind rattling the blades of grass. A beautiful ringing chimed out amongst the clearing, high pitched and yet pleasingly soft. The source of the noise seemed to come from all around, the petals of the flowers vibrating as if the sound itself was coming from them directly, yet it seemed uncertain at best. It seemed to grow in volume towards the edges of the clearing, quieting to a soft hum around the center by the lone ring. If one were to step outside the clearing all together the silence of the forest would return to them, greeted with the heavy fogs presence once more.

Animal watched from his unseen perch, silver-grey eyes watching the "empty" clearing, the expression on his face difficult to read. Though she was invisible, Animal was not entirely convinced she was gone. Clearly if she wanted to leave the option was open to her â€" but in the midst of his clearing, beautiful and dangerous as it was â€" Animal had a hunch that it would be hard to say goodbye so quickly.
