The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. PhD in Plant Biology Abigail Hughes
It was starting to get brisk and cold outside. She did not mind too much, the chill just meant she needed to snuggle into her jackets more, or that she needed to pile more blankets onto her bed. Or that she needed to find a way to pay the bill, keep her heat on, possibly start a fire in her apartment. Sometimes, alone in her apartment she was reminded that she needed a roommate, needed a job, get something going in her life so she could start. But tonight the wind was blowing just enough, the autumn nip was just subtle enough, that earthly requirements were the last thing on her mind. Brown bowler hat pulled low over her eyes, collar of her long coat pulled up and hands in her pockets. This was one of the few nights she was not interested in meeting people on the streets. Her boots clicking fast with the wind blowing gently through her hair, it was obvious the woman was on a mission. As she moved, the wind around her picked up, it was as if it too, were on a mission. The sense of excitement and eagerness was palpable in the air itself. It seemed to be coming from her. She whisked off the paved paths and into the forest itself. Moving by the camp grounds and tents. The moon was not full, so she had little fear of weres stumbling upon her, at least in animal form. Straying eyes of any kind were not so welcome on this night. Usually one for being in loud places, the center of energy, it was one thing she wanted to do for herself, by herself. Once she had found a clearing far enough for her satisfaction she took a breath and relaxed, lifting her head and showing the world her every friendly smile. Taking off her shoes and dropping her jacket to the ground she spread her hands, palms up and fingers extended. Slowly she spun, breathing deep as she did. "Clearing be cleansed. Let naught but good enter here, let naught but good be done here." She whispered again and again, circling three times. Almost in a daze, but a pleasant smile on her face, she stripped off another jacket she had been wearing, revealing a body fitting white shirt atop black dance pants. Though she felt safe in the space she was about to perform in, she was not comfortable enough to be skyclad in this place. At last she looked to the south. "Fire," she whispered, "I call you and your passion." Her lithe body pivoted to the west as the cold autumn air warmed just slightly. "Water, join with me, bring me your spirit." The clouds above thickened, getting heavier, seeming to contemplate rain. Amaya turned again, a toe drawing a smooth line in the ground as she faced north. "Earth, please stay beside me, give me solid ground to stand on." Trees groaned quietly around her in the wind. Now the smile grew broad on her pierced lips. Turning to the east, her mischievous face was alight with a growing passion. "Air?" She breathed. "Dance with me!" In one swift, fluid motion her circle was closed and she tossed her hat up to the sky. Hearing her call, the wind rushed forward to answer. As though it was laughing with her, it caught the hat and pulled it higher into the sky, twirling it in invisible fingers. Still earthbound, Amaya herself spun around in the wind. Stopping suddenly, her arm outstretched, as if asking an invisible partner to join her. In her hand, was her hat. Without missing a beat, she accepted its offer and began to move. Everything she did was smooth, and wave-like. She bent and turned, her dance combining moves that incorporated steps from a waltz to a ballet. At first slow and melodic. As each step was taken and placed, her pace began to shift, bringing it faster. With her, the wind began to blow harder, twisting and turning around her. She moved as if the spirit of the air were truly her dance partner, executing jumps and twists with nothing standing beside her. The energy within the circle continued to grow, as it did her pace only quickened. Small sprinkles of rain started to drop from the sky, only into the clearing, as the wind continued to race in the circle, bringing fallen autumn leaves to turn around the woman, bringing a visual partner to her dance. Years of training had her arms moving in the liquid motions dance. With every flick of her wrist, sweep of her arm, or pivot on her feet, the world around her answered her movement, the wind pulling up leaves to match her hand, or rain twisting to follow her body, soaking her clothing. Faster and faster she danced, her hands expertly tossing, catching and moving her hat, as if it, too were another dance partner. She moved as though she were being spun between three, or that she was spinning them. The leader and led traded and turned with every other step she seemed to take, no one appearing controlling or commanding the elements of the dance. Finally, she threw her hat a last time into the air. Wind and rain raced up to grab it, flinging it higher before dropping it into one hand she held skyward. The moment her fingers grasped the brim, she looked down the arm she had stretched out in front of her, inviting one of the forest to dance with her this time. |
