The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Damn. Can't a wolf enjoy a morning coffee in the park in Peace anymore? Here I am, minding my own goddamn business, leaning back on a park bench and simply watching the world wake up. I've already been up for hours, running wild through the forests on the outskirts of town. Now I was simply winding down, partaking of the simplistic beauty of the sunrise, when all the human world wakes in ignorant bliss of the beasts that have just finished romping through their own backyards. Men and women were leaving to hit the daily grind, others were up early, donning jogging shirts and running shoes to cruise a circuit or two around Hyde Park, and small children traveled in groups of twos and threes, making the quick jaunt to their school for morning classes. And here I sit, lounged with my elbows brace against the back of my bench, legs stretched out in front of me with boots crossed, sipping my triple shot mocha and taking a drag off a cigarette. Then She appears. I smell the scent of silver and weaponry before she ever comes within sight. The hair on the back of my neck prickles. Muscles discreetly tensing beneath flesh and fabric, but nothing of my outward appearance would betray my acute awareness of the situation at hand. And then from across the park I see her enter. Such a pretty thing, for such a hazardous profession. Her dark eyes and touseled locks are eye-catching. Too bad she was carrying a bag full of bloodshed around with her. One brow arcs, certainly she's taken notice of me by now. They say Dark Hunters have a keen sense for recognizing the beasts they hunt down. And sure enough, her glance is cast askance, our eyes meeting from across the field and I mentally brace myself to giving this poor little girl the ass whoopin' of a lifetime if she decides this has to get ugly. She starts towards me, a friendly smile on her face and for a moment I am perplexed as she greets me as if I were a neighbor she saw everyday. "You gotta kill a few people." I spoke in a rich gravelly tenor, crooked grin lacing my lips as I continued to hold her gaze evenly. "Though I wouldn't consider a park at 9 in the morning in my running clothes an ideal location for blood-sport." I took a sip of my mocha before tongue rasps across the double canines that flash her way. "Are you here to play nice or did you come say Hi just to fuck up my day?" GO AHEAD AND PLAY DEAD SOMEDAY I'LL WALK AWAY AND SAY YOU FUCKIN' DISAPPOINT ME Maybe You're Better Of This Way... |
