South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

It had been another couple of weeks since the bathroom incident at Sterling's apartment. Truthfully, Henry thought about it often, probably more often than he cared to admit. Even now, when he was laying on the couch staring up at the ceiling and waiting for sleep to find him, he often thought about Sterling. He thought about the way he dropped his drawers as he walked down the fall, the way his's eyes couldn't leave him, and the way he made him feel. Something about Sterling was stirring something inside his soul and he couldn't figure out what it was. The longer he lived with Sterling, the more he wanted to insert himself into the male's bed. However, Henry still wasn't entirely sure if that was what Sterling wanted from him. So he kept quiet...trying his best to contain his feelings. Right now, the lid was about to burst. Luckily, Henry had the lid taped down with duck tape and glue. However, he was sure that soon, it would pop off permanently.

Today was like any other day. It was a holiday, so Henry had the day off of work. He had seen Sterling off to work, knowing that cooks rarely got days off, let alone holidays. He spent the morning cleaning the apartment and going over his own finances. He already knew he had more than enough money to move out of Sterling's apartment and get his own, but he kept that little piece of information to himself. After all, he didn't want to leave.

However, what broke up the mundane day was a simple knock at the apartment door. Henry answered it, curious as to who was at the door. No one came to visit them. It was a police officer who asked to come in. Henry opened the door wider for him, motioning to the couch for the man to seat himself if he wanted to. The officer refused. He was only going to be here a moment. But that moment would change Henry's life forever.

As soon as the officer left, Henry looked at the clock: 3pm. Sterling was probably getting ready for the dinner rush right about now. He only had a few minutes. Running out the door (completely forgetting to lock the apartment), Henry ran to Sterling's work as quickly as he could. Disregarding the "employee's only" sign, Henry burst into the kitchen, grabbing Sterling and dragging him from the room before anyone could notice. He drug him into a brook closet and shut the door behind them. It was dark and Henry could feel Sterling's close proximity. The smell of grease was such an aphrodisiac. However, now was not the time. Looking in the direction of where Sterling's eyes should be, Henrys spoke. "The police came today...I have a safe-deposit box at the bank. Apparently my name came up because the fees on the box hadn't been paid and the owner not seen in some time. That owner is me..." Henry wasn't sure what to think about this news. Anything could be stored in that box: money, jewels, keys to some vast holding, and a multitude of other things. Most importantly, it could hold a key to his life before his memories were taken. It was big news and a big break for Henry...and Sterling was the one person Henry wanted to share this with. "Do you know what this could mean?!?!?!?!?" There was fear and excitement in his voice. He wasn't sure what was about to happen...all he knew was that he wanted his roommate to be involved.
