South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Samantha truly hadn't meant for the laughter to spill from her lips, but there was just something about the faerie boy in Aiden's clothes that provoked the laughter within her. Goodness, he looked a mess. She didn't tell him so, instead she merely wandered over to him and attempted to fix the clothing to fit a little bit better. It is his question that is meant with another chuckle, the apparent faerie princess rising to her feet before she responded. "Actually," She replied with a smug look. "My boyfri... my male lover, as you call him, is a king of his own right. He's a Were, and he's the Alpha of the largest pack around here. You should see his castle. Much more impressive than my own, clearly."

It is the first time she'd been truly honest with the man regarding the status of her apparent castle, still certain that he would catch on at any moment. That he wouldn't would set in later, but for now she was just content to tease him as she saw fit. She noticed the way his emotions swayed towards disgust at the mention of used clothing, and she gave a shrug. "It's better than nothing. I don't have a ton of money, and we don't use the batter system around here anymore." She stepped back, heading back towards the kitchen in an attempt to dig out plates for them once the pizza did arrive.

"My mother was from Ireland, though my father is from New York," Samantha replies as she places the plates on the table. It was the first time she'd really given him any personal information, and frankly she didn't care enough to hide the truth from him. She spoke so rarely of her parents. Each time she did caused that pang of homesickness in her chest. She always wondered what they must have thought. Did they search for her? Were they still searching for her? She wished she could give them some finality, though she was sure that wouldn't help. She had to remain one of New York's teens that simply vanished into thin air. She would never go back there, never risk seeing them again. She would stay in Sacrosanct, far away from any chance of them. The idea of it panged her. She missed them both more than she could put into words.

It is his admittance that he'd never had pizza that broke up her thoughts and caused a smile to burst out on her features. "Well, you're lucky then, because you have the girl who knows so much about it. You're going to love it." She happily moved across the small apartment to join him on the couch, drawing her feet up under her body and covering her lap with the quilt she kept there. "I just got cheese, tonight, because I wasn't sure what you eat. Cheese tends to be the baby step into pizza. And I got breadsticks, of course."

She's hardly given time to finish her sentence before another question falls from his lips, her eyes gazing upward to the light that he spoke of. The light bulb was nothing beautiful. It matched the entire apartment in being unapologetically drab, but hey, it was affordable, and better than the streets, of course. "Oh, it's..." Her voice trailed off, quite sure she would never be able to explain the concept of electricity to the ancient faerie. Luckily, she was spared at the moment by the appearance of the single moth that fluttered in her apartment.

Samantha lived in a dingy space. She knew that, really. It wasn't uncommon to see a mouse or bugs in the space. And even though she found she disliked them, she hardly feared them. So it was odd to see the man beside her tense up so entirely. Had the next series of events not happened in such a rapid manner, she was sure she would have laughed at him. Instead, the woman watched in open mouthed horror at the way her companion flung his sword across the room. She moved her hands to shield herself, even if there was no chance that it would hit her. There was a certain level of awe that came from watching her companion flawlessly pin the insect against the wall, but it was completely overshadowed by the shock of it all. She stood up, going across the room to yank the sword out of the wall. She held it at her side, her fingers curling around the hilt as she turned to stare at the man who proclaimed his dislike of insects.

"Yes, clearly," Samantha merely stared at him, unable to comprehend what had just happened. Her voice dropped to the tone that she would have used to speak to Nadya's twins. "We do not throw swords at the walls. There are much more... appropriate ways to handle this situation." She reached up with her free hand, rubbing her temples as the doorbell rang. "Sit there," She commanded, moving towards the door. She propped the sword against the side of the wall as she exchanged money with the delivery driver, bringing the food in and setting it on the table before she went back to grab the sword. "This. This is mine now until you earn it back. Because I'm not going to have you destroy my apartment because you're fearful of everything." She moved swiftly, turning to place it within the front closet before she motioned for him to join her at the table. "Come eat, and try not to kill anyone over tomatoes, please?"
