if you've got nothing to dance about find a reason to sing
Final stop miss, The bus driver called back to her as the vehicle came to a halt. Reaching up, the woman rubbed the grogginess from her eyes as his voice awoke her. When her focus cleared she looked out the window at her new life. The moon was high in the sky, and the buildings were lit up brightly as it was a Friday night and the town was bustling with activity. Miss, The driver called again in question as Gianni took a deep breath and slid from the seat to the aisle.
Grabbing her slightly oversized handbag from the overhead storage, she began slowly walking to the front of the bus, stopping at the chubby driver. Keeping her eyes on the ground, the girl gave a small curtsey and handed him a five dollar tip, "Grazie," She said, her Italian accent strong. The man smiled and thanked her as she moved down the steps. As her foot hit the pavement of Sacrosanct, the doors closed and a whooshing noise was made as the vehicle began moving away, leaving Gianni standing on the sidewalk.
Her gloved hands clenched the black bag to her stomach as her eyes took in the scenery. People were out having a good time, groups of young adults passed her in a drunken stupor, she could hear music playing from every which way; it was overwhelming. Taking a deep breath, the vampire took small, slow steps in her black boots down the sidewalk as she watched everything. She walked by restaurants, some closing and some were more in the bar scene.
She passed the nightclub and was able to see inside the door for a split moment at the huge party that seemed to be going on. Stopping her eyes watched full of wonder and curiosity. Biting her lip in nervousness, the girl put the bag on her shoulder and smoothed her blackdress before she entered the door of the club.
The girl smiled with delight as the lights danced around and the music thrummed loudly in her ears. She practically bounced through the establishment before making her way to the bar where she was able to find an empty seat. The bartender handed her a menu which she took, thanking him as she looked over the many drinks that she had never heard of before. The man came back to help her decide on something, giving her a fruity alcoholic beverage. In her previous life she was forbidden from alcohol as her master believed it dulled the senses and sharpened the tongue.
Taking a sip to the surprisingly delicious drink the woman watched the many people on the dance floor, most which seemed to be vampires. She had been running far too long, and for once she actually believed that she was having fun.
