The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

It was a busy night for Karsen, but that was too be expected considering it was Friday night. She didn't mind it though, when it was busy it meant time would go faster and she would usually make a lot more money. The tips are what helped her survival in this place more than anything, so she always made sure she gave the best possible experience. It wasn't hard for her to be charming and flirt, even though she was interested in women, she knew that buttons to push for men also, but that was why she was so good at this job. Some interesting characters had come through tonight though; she wasn't bored for a second. That was another benefit to working at a bar, it was one of the best places to watch people and how they interact with others. You could tell a lot by a person by how they reacted to the people around them, especially in a crowd like this, but that also meant that there would definitely be some fights they'd have to try and break up. She'd cross that bridge when they came to it; right now she was just focused on getting drinks out as quickly as she possibly could. Lukcy for them, she was one of the faster bartenders and she could even do it with a little bit of flare. A bright smile was given to a girl who leaned over the counter to order, and with a quick nod Karsen grabbed a few bottles and started mixing the drinks. Her eyes flickered to the DJ and she winked at him playfully before putting her attention back on the woman before her. Karsen's long brown hair hung about her shoulders in waves, her bangs pulled up into a retro look that she called a suicide roll. People would always comment on her hair, even tonight she already got asked how to do it, and as always she would explain it. She never worried about sharing her secrets, it's not like her look was a well-known or popular one, and usually people would give up on making it look as flawless as she did. Bright blue eyes were highlighted with smoky hues, her make-up minimal but still sexy in its own way. Upper body was in a white t-shirt that dipped slightly to give a hint of cleavage and a black bra rested beneath it. Her legs were covered by a pair of skinny jeans that clung to her in all the right places before disappearing into her favorite pair of black boots that stopped at her knees. It was obvious that she put effort into her look, but at the same time she never tried too hard, she did just enough. The woman's drink was pushed across the counter and a few bills were pushed into her hand, with a wink she turned and put the money for the drink in the register and threw the tips into the jar on the back counter that held all the tips. The jar was already getting full which meant it would be a very nice night for tips, and if got much fuller she'd have to take the tips into the back and grab another jar. It didn't bother her really; she liked knowing that tonight was going to be a good one, because as always she had some bills to pay. That was a thought for a later time though, right now she had to focus on keep all her customers happy, and keep the alcohols flowing. Then someone slammed a twenty down on the bar top and shoved their way to the front. "Hey babe, I need four shots of patron." Her brow rose in curiosity at the order and she glanced at the twenty before her attention once again landed on the male who seemed to think he was a gift to women. "That's great, doll, but that's going to cost you more than twenty bucks." A look of disappointment slid across his face and she tried to keep her smile in check, because at this rate she was starting to get a little short with assholes. "Aw, can't you hook it up? Maybe we can work something out later tonight." Another laugh passed her lips and she pushed the money back towards the male, she was going to give him one last chance. Her head tilted slightly as her eyes locked with his, her teeth found her lower lip as she leaned forward the slightest bit. "How about you rethink what you just said and throw another twenty up, and then I'll give you your shots and we can forget you trying to be Adonis. How's that sound?" The male looked taken aback by her words, but she kept her smile on her lips as she waited for him to make the next move. After a few seconds and a few boos from the other customers gathering around him he put another twenty up on the counter and tried to keep himself from looking too wounded. With a raise of her brow she backed up the slightest bit and put four shot glasses onto the bar top before pouring his requested shot. With another too sweet smile she grabbed the money and put it in the register, and in no time he was shoved out of the way and a few more people shouted orders at her. |
