West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I look up when I hear Raven speaking. I know that she must feel disappointed in me. I know I'm not really doing a fabulous job of convincing him. I've still got a lot of guilt over Raven's beating and the territory challenge that happened after. I know that will always be thrown back in my face so I'd rather just put it out on the carpet to begin with. I am aware that I screwed up. Raven has such faith in me. "I failed you." I remind her. She says I've shown capability to care about others, to put them before me. I had that chance with her and I failed her. I can't think of a time yet that I've defended someone besides myself. I've always been the coward that runs and hides. I see the way she's looking at Aiden, almost as if concentrating so I know she's talking to him through their pack bond. I look back at my paws, giving them privacy.

When she questions me, I look back up and nod. "He said he would kill you and everyone I cared about if I didn't go with him. I was a coward, Raven. I couldn't make myself move to help you. My body was frozen with fear. I felt like I was watching a nightmare take place and there was no way to wake up. I felt helpless and nauseaus to my stomach. I've never been a fighter. Frost doesn't threaten to hurt me. He only threatens my friends." At that sudden command from Aiden, I look to him, blue eyes baring into his own deep green. All at once, I start to feel so very relaxed, my shoulders drooping as my ears turn to the sides, my eyes blinking in a daze as I stare into his gaze. I feel like I'm floating, like nothing in the world can harm me and I am safe and free to say whatever.

When he asks the question, my voice comes out softly. "I was scared. I thought if I intervened, maybe he could kill her right on the spot. Maybe he would hurt someone else to get back at me. I've seen him torture a man to the point of death without actually killing him. He was boiling the man from the inside out. He made me kill that man or said he would continue so I put him out of his misery. I couldn't stand to think of him doing that to her." Everything is monotone but a tear slides down my cheek as I recall the memory of that day. The hunter writhing on the ground in front of me in agony, his insides cooking. You could smell it and it was the most disgusting smell. I know somehow that I am safe from all that, safe to talk about it, safe because I'm floating but the image is still painful.
