The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

It was utterly astounding that Alexis had never had CAKE before. Who didn't eat CAKE?! It was glorious and soooo delicious and omg my mouth almost watered at just THINKING about it. I needed to rectify this cake situation. I'd get her a REALLY good one. Or maybe I'd get her cupcakes and then she could try a bunch of different flavors. Oh my god. Yes! This was a great idea. I nodded quite firmly, nearly hoping in my next stride. "I have the best idea for cake! Don't you worry Alexis. It will be the BEST!" I kind of squealed a bit in my own excitement but truly! It was going to be awesome watching her try all those different flavors and find her favorite one! I loved introducing people to new things. I liked watching the way their faces turned from uncertainty and skepticism to complete and utter amazement. Still, we hardly dwelled on this birthday business for very long, our conversation shifting from books to school to college and my own future within that university that I was so utterly nervous about. I mean, it was exciting and all, cause it was college but it was with a whole bunch of people I'd never met! There would be more people in that single school then there had ever been in that entire village I had grown up in!
My lips peeled into a warm grin, so meeting Alexis' own as she assured me that I was going to be amazing at this whole college thing. I wasn't sure about that, I wasn't one of those naturally brilliant people that I'd heard about but I was willing to work hard and I quite enjoyed learning and that had proved worthy enough to get me here thus far. I was only hoping that it might be enough to get me through college so I could get a degree like my parents had. Still, I found myself admitting, in perhaps the first display of any emotion other then super-happy-awesome, that I was a bit worried about all those people she would be soon meeting and surrounded by. My attention turned from my thoughts only by the sound of Alexis voice, that grin quickly reappearing on my features. "Alexis! That's a great way to put it! You're so smart." I answered in awe. She was so right! They were all potential friends, just like Alexis here! She never would have met Alexis if it hadn't been for following that huffy man into that weird floating boat.
Still, I was perhaps just as excited for Alexis to try cake as I was to try this coffee she'd spoken of! I'd heard of it, naturally, even seen it all black and gross looking but I'd heard of the coffee here as something altogether different. My mother would speak of it sometimes when I asked her why she drank it. I wasn't to see what those delicious cups were that she had so spoken of. My attention, however, was decidedly distracted from coaxing my newfound friend to show me her work by the realization that I knew where I was! Huzzah! "OH! I recognize this! I live this way, come on!" I announced, overly enthusiastic that things had started to slowly look familiar to me. It was always exciting to learn my way around places. It made it feel more like home to me. I led her down several streets before turning down the one I recognized as my own, marching my way right up that street and into that little cul de sac in front of the park. "Look!" I stated, pointing at that home in the middle of that small circle. "That one is mine!" I stated, entirely ecstatic before I turned back towards my friend. "I expect to see you and Raven on my doorstep next week...at....five o'clock. How does that sound? We can celebrate your birthday then?!" It was a bit forward of me to make plans so abruptly with Alexis but I did truly want to celebrate her birthday with her and a week gave me excellent time to prepare.
