The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

He was rather more open that she ever remembered him being in his panther form. Maybe being a human left him in a better mood. Guess she'd better find him in this form more often. She did enjoy his company and found him a good source of both knowledge and entertainment. Sure, Frost was teaching her which all right and good but the panther had been one of the first Were's she met in this city. He was one of the first to tell her who and what she was. She felt like he was a friend and she wasn't going to turn away from that just because apparently he didn't like her alpha. Hopefully he wouldn't make it a big deal. So far Frost hadn't said anything about him anyway. She could tell he was dancing around something big when he gave her some crap about "the less you know, the better." She knew tha was usually code for "I'm not going to tell you why I hate his guts. This is my crappy way of protecting you by leaving you in the dark." She may be new to this whole human thing but she still knew when she was being brushed off. She scowled but then she just sighed and shrugged. "Fine, if you want it to be that way." She would just drop it then cause apparently he didn't want to talk anymore about it. She didn't want to treat this situation like she did with Henry. It was bad enough she was trying to mend her friendship with him. She didn't want panther-guy mad at her too. He seemed so taken by this idea of "rubbing against her" that she didn't have it in her to turn him away. What could it hurt, after all? It wasn't like he was asking to mate her or something like Caesar had tried all those time. She knew how to defend her own honor if need be but rubbing his scent on her would be harmless. He didn't even seem to mind that she was teasing him about it, asking if she'd rather him say "let's cuddle." She laughed again, even snorting a few times this time. She shook her head. "You're such a weirdo." She couldn't help it. She was having too much fun hanging out with him. She wondered if his pack got to see this side of him or if he was more the quiet type like when he was a panther. When she brought up her surprise at him being an alpha, he actually got a little attitude with her and she was quick to call him on it. He seemed so much more teasing now and she liked it. He was easier to talk to like this. She called him snarky and he told her it was rich coming from her. This was a phrase she wasn't quite familiar with yet. She scowled and tilted her head. "You mean rich, like that green money stuff everyone always goes on about?" At least he was willing to explain some things to her, like how his sister was indeed a panther and that most were siblings were the same species but that he had heard of them being different. How odd. She immediately thought of Henry then. "So do you have a brother too?" She wasn't going to knark on Henry or anything since he seemed to be so in denial of his own species but maybe if she found out where he came from, she could understand better why he denied what he was. When she told him that the alcohol was nasty, he at least agreed with her but said something about things being more fun with it. She tilted her head and eyed it again. "Drinking that stuff makes things fun? How so?" She was curious now and thinking more and more of trying some more just to see if he was right. She liked having fun. He asked if she liked strawberries and she tried to think if she'd had any. She thought she had tried some off a bush before but half of them weren't quite ripe and ended up tasting bitter. But the sweet ones were good. She nodded. "Yeah, I think so." He seemed to be up to something but she was willing to see where it went. She was a little irritated that he had taken on such a large animal without her. Surely she could have been some help! She insisted that she was going to take on something better without him and he said that he wanted all the details. She snorted and crossed her arms. "Oh don't worry. I'll be sure to give you a detailed play by play." |
