West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

For months she attempted to keep everything within the Ark intact. By no means was she the new Alpha, but she was trying to help her mate keep things afloat, literally and figuratively. Having Jackal around to help support her orders within the Ark was helpful. Encouraging the staff to stay on with her reckless and distraught mate did seem a bit daunting, but she appreciated their effort and word that they would stay. There were multiple times when a staffer did absolutely nothing wrong, but somehow managed to anger her mate. Breaking up that argument hadn't been easy, but she managed to calm Tobias down and allow the terrified staffer to walk away afraid, but unharmed at least. Not to mention she had to ensure that the fights within the Ark went well and without a hitch, encouraging their patrons to come back. Which meant that Tobias had to enter the ring more times, not just to keep the patrons coming in and participating with their selves or money, but to make sure he showed anyone that dared wished to try to take over, that it would be wise not to. Every night she was sickly worried each time he entered the ring, the poor girl could hardly stand watching, let alone seeing him get hurt. One misstep or one loss would either make them vulnerable, or worse, lose their home. As for the business side of things, well, that was even more daunting.

With Tetradore no longer running the businesses that left their partners believing they were nothing more than a lame duck. Luckily Tobias had no interest in even attempting to learn what it was she and Tetradore did. Jackal did provide some assistance, but not much. She had to go through and meet these people that conversed with her deceased Alpha, having to participate in such mindless chit chat. Not only were they analyzing her, but she was also analyzing them. Having to persuade them to stick with her and know that both entities would end up successful if they continued down the same track and stayed as business partners. Some were willing and some were not. Some purposefully made daunting tasks believing she would not be able to complete the order, and yet she did so and then some. Meeting with these businessmen was like being dropped and left for dead in a shark tank. It was difficult to accomplish the impossible orders, and there were convening things she had to do in order make things work that she wasn't proud of, but if it meant keeping the business relationship going, then she would do it. Jackal seemed to be the only person telling her to push through and continue, fighting her instincts and morals to simply walk away. It had been rough, but everything was going smoothly and they were doing good, which meant she could bend and twist things to fit her needs. Maybe if she wasn't so exhausted then maybe she could put in the effort to stop thinking and accept that it could be possible for Tetradore to come back from the dead.

Seeing Tetradore just standing there, as if nothing had happened, as if his disappearance was not months, but just a few hours seemed unimaginable. Everything inside her was screaming that this was wrong. That he wasn't really who he said he was. It wasn't wrong of her to feel the way that she did, but she couldn't wrap her head around the others not following in line with this disbelief. Did they ever go through an experience where someone they thought was dead, could easily come back to life? Was she the only one still sane enough to know that this was all incorrect? Hell, why wasn't Tetradore agreeing with her belief that this all seemed unbelievable. There was something stirring within her, the bond she had between herself and Tobias remained, but she felt something far stronger being created. When Tetradore died whatever bond that tied them as Alpha and member of his pack had painfully been ripped apart, the agony intensifying each minute. The pain had slowly ebbed away as each day passed. She did not feel relief, but she did feel the pain go numb, but barely. For a moment Raven began to consider that perhaps he was really was back. Watching Tobias place his hand on top of Tetradore's lowering his head to look away it at least showed that he was relinquishing his hold upon the pack. Now that bond that had been ripped a part was slowly reforming again. Maybe, just maybe he really was back. It didn't feel like a normal bond being made between new pack members, this one felt far too familiar and strong. Softly she murmured her thoughts about her Alpha, as a few silent tears fell. And when she apologized for not believing it was really him, his comment about not understanding brought a look of confusion, because she had just explained herself by apologizing. His inquiry that she had sold everything was answered with a frantic shake of her head, responding quickly to reassure him that the business was quite safe.

"Are you nuts? I wouldn't sell everything. It's not finalized, but I did create a trust for Nadya and the kids. They left the pack when Tobi took over, but that doesn't mean they can't be cared for. Jackal told me not to, but I thought it was for the best. It was hard to keep the others believing and relying on our business, but I managed to keep their trust and we got at least 27% increase in profit...which means you can get that company you were thinking of taking...that is if you still want to."

Gingerly she stroked right behind Regan's ear in a gentle manner, appreciating that she would ensure no harm came to her. She doubted Tetradore would ever do such a thing. Not with Tobias present. Besides if he did then that might actually show the others that he really wasn't who he said he was. Wiping away the tears that fell, she looked over to her deviant companion, impressed that he was wanting to understand why she was sad. Nervously she explained it to him, not minding if the others heard.

"I am sad, because everyone else believes Tetradore is really alive and back from the dead...and I still don't. I am confused, because it isn't possible for anyone to come back from the dead. I'm not a very good member, if I don't believe our Alpha has returned."

Quietly she watched as he stepped forward appearing a bit frazzled. Wordlessly she accepted the postcard, flipping it over to see the front side. One finger traced the mountain as she simply looked over the photograph, depicting part of the landscaped that belonged to a national park that was thousands of miles away. She had heard of the landmark before and the geyser that was one of the main attractions. As he spoke of the promise he had made within the South, surrounded by the odd ball-like creatures, a brief flicker of recognition could be visible. She never told anyone about hat night. She didn't tell anyone about the promise he had made. She never really spoke of anything they did together, believing it was all private. Surely Tetradore wouldn't have spoken of that promise to others. Perhaps...it was possible for the dead to come back to life. Immediately she reached out and wrapped her arms around him in a hug, Gently her voice prodded into his own mind, her voice holding a pleasant, and stunned tone.

"I don't care where we go, as long as you are there...Tetra. Thank you."

She would let him go and sheepishly look down. She was not one that liked to be touched by others, and she had an assumption that he was the same way. However, this was quite an important occasion where a hug could at least be acceptable. With Tobias making his approach she continued to look down at the postcard, accepting his kiss on the cheek with a small smile, her cheeks turning pink. Public display wasn't something she condoned...it simply felt odd to be showing an affectionate gesture in front of others. Muttering gently she replied to Tobias' dismay of not grasping what their Alpha truly meant.

"Some wolves live there Tobi, he wants to take me there to see them."
