West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

You call and I respond, the sparrow and the song
I miss you when you're gone

"Well, the night is still young." Spencer replied to her statement, indicating the underlying distrust of the situation. Spencer was aware of the disadvantage he would be at if she grew impatient or tired of playing games; she was surely lethal from a distance and here he was sitting within arm's reach. Even if they weren't trapped in a vehicle, it wasn't like running was his forte. Honestly, he was probably too proud to try and run anyway.

Honesty was one of the few traits Spencer possessed, though it wasn't typically the honesty people like. It was abrupt, it was harsh, it was occasionally calculated. He did not care about "padding" the truth, he did not care to "soften" the truth, or about the timing of it. If someone asked, he would simply state the situation as he saw it. Of course, there is telling the truth and there is being an asshole, a very thin line he often crossed. "Hm. I'm sure." He remained unconvinced as she batted her lashes at him, leaning back in his seat.

Of course, she was a witch; they had both clocked one another almost immediately at the shop. So, this was not exactly a revelation, but it did confirm what he already knew. A witch assassin that chose to seek others for assistance, not exactly unheard of. As she stated herself, she was busy. Not a strong suit, though? Well, viewing it from the professional side, it made sense. If she was too busy running around, when exactly did she have time to stare at a bottle carefully measuring ingredients? She didn't. "So you know enough to recognize quality but not enough to deliver it. Good thing you found me." Spencer returned with a slight smirk, jabbing her for a reaction. She was not the only one delivering tests tonight. Also, was there a bit of ego? Oh certainly, there was a lot of ego. Of course, you can't blame the man for taking pride in his work.

Spencer had, honestly, been quite unsure what to order though it seemed like she took that right off his list of things to do as she snatched the menu from his hands. His brow furrowed in slight annoyance as she did so, the man folding his hands in front of him as she displayed her familiarity with the restaurant. As the waiter flushed, Spencer looked to the side to hide his eyes rolling into the back of his skull in disdain for the fellow. Jesus Christ, he could at least pretend to have some dignity.

"Maybe you aren't chasing hard enough," He retorted smugly, recalling her earlier tease, as he turned his attention back to the woman when they were alone yet again. Spencer picked up his glass, sniffing the wine briefly before sipping on it quietly. The liquid was cool but other than that, he could not identify anything particularly interesting. It would be easy to simply down the liquid as he would a glass of water but, after getting a few too many strange looks from his early years, he had since learned the art of "pacing" oneself. In fact, the easiest way to do so was simply match the pace of whoever he was around then bringing it down a notch. Spencer didn't reply as she stated her assumption about their future endeavors, namely because she was most likely right. So far he had yet to see a reason not to conduct business with her, though he still preferred if she wouldn't be so flashy.

Rather than speaking, he simply met her gaze, holding it briefly, before letting his eyes simply wander over her as he searched for clues and hints to give him a better feel of her as well. Her next statement, however, did surprise him. Quite honestly, he had been as relaxed as he usually was around her. Well, mostly. As relaxed as Spencer ever was. Being entirely unsure of how to argue he was, in fact, relaxed, Spencer simply drank some of his wine before setting it aside. His jaw set in some discomfort and irritation as she struck a small peeve of his, being told to "relax" when he had previously been, the older man turning his head to look around the restaurant to distract himself as he churned for something to retort or distract, yet drew a blank. Somehow he had not expected to be told he was too uptight by an assassin.

Thankfully, before he had time to dwell on the matter too long, their first course- the appetizer â€" arrived, though it was something that Spencer was not entirely positive on what had been placed before him. Seems she won this round as well. She had stumped Spencer twice in a matter of five minutes. His eyes flicked toward her plate, trying to decide if there was any difference between their plates, as he placed his napkin across his lap. "What exactly did you order us, anyway?" Spencer finally asked (it was more of a demand), realizing he had no idea what was going to come his way. It wasn't like he exactly had a taste for anything but still it was nice to know how much exactly he would have to pretend he knew.
